I only have 1150 miles on my '16 and my calculations so far are within 3/10's per MPG of the on board computer. I was kind of surprised how accurate it is but still plan to calculate my own numbers for a while at least. BTW so far my full tanks have averaged 19.3 MPG but that number has stayed the same even after putting 265/70/17 BFG's on which makes me think I may be getting at least .5 MPG more then when I had stock tires at this point. The tank I'm on looks like it may be closer to 20 MPG even with the taller tires.

It really does. I was a hyper miler with my diesel jetta, so I know how to make this engine drive efficient. But in the same breath it's really a good transmission and engine combo. The close ratios and the shifter make this thing a blast on the back roads. I find myself just taking them for the fun of it, heel toe rev matching, taking it up to the redline brings you right in the power band of the next gear. It's a blast.

What are you running for tire pressure in your OR? (Assuming you still have stock OR Tire setup)

I keep my pressure at least 45 psi. With D or E rated tires the psi must be higher to avoid too much flex.

True...kind of. 45 PSI is too high; unless you're running something like a 50 series.

I am running Toyo LT265-75-16. The tech where I bought them said they should be at 55psi. I told him ya maybe if I had a 6000 Lb truck. We both agreed on 45psi after a beer.

They should be. They always sell Tacoma's with the gayest tires.

Worse than liters alone, why do they think L/100km makes more sense than km/L?

We don't say "my truck uses 5 gallons for every 100 miles I drive", we say "I get 20 miles per gallon".

It's counter-intuitive and goes against our American "bigger is better" philosophy.

Today's drive home. I keep it at or below 1500rpm. Ride in is about 1.5 mpg less. I love it - I love to drive the speed limit that is image.jpg

Not all of us like the metric system. I am bitter about the whole anti-English system. I can't express enough how much I hate it. Most of us Boomers and older are still using English units.

Tires can take 51. It's not optimal for the trucks handling but it's not overkill.

Wow I run 35 cold in all 4 and I thought I was high. I will air up to 40 next time. I like less rolling resistance
