    Would be very difficult but I’m sure it could be done. Pulling the bed made life so much easier tho.
    Ant has a lift in his shop so I took advantage of it.
    The connections on them fuel lines can be a real bitch to disconnect...

    I've had my stocker out twice. I know what you mean about the vent lines. They can be little bitches for sure!

    TACOMA TANK KIT UPGRADE PROGRAM & NEW MODEL TANK
    As US agents for Long Range Automotive (LRA) we offer over 60 different tank kits for Toyotas, Jeeps and Land Rovers - among others. We have known and done business with LRA for years and formalized this exclusive relationship in late 2017.

    During 2018 we have sold several hundred tanks here with uniformly good results. The one exception was a tendency for the tank to "burp" back gas, fill slowly and vent poorly. When we found out about it, we stopped selling the tank and investigated - learning too late that there was a history of this behavior for many/most owners.

    We, in conjunction with LRA, undertook a development program to learn what the problem was and to correct the deficiency in the product. Over a period of months, a new version of the tank was developed, along with a "fix-it kit" - both adding a spring-loaded Inlet Control Valve (ICV).

    Two things to announce:

    UPGRADE PROGRAM
    We are offering the fix-it kit to owners of LRA tanks for installation. We will ship the kit free of charge to owners (with proof of purchase). Installation will take a shop or owner approximately two hours. Upon installation, we will reimburse the owner with a $200 payment with photo documentation of the installation. If you own a Tacoma with LRA tank, please provide your name, address and phone number along with date and proof of purchase, along with a description of your experience with the tank.     NEW KIT ON SALE
    The new kit is now available for sale and to relaunch this 33 gallon replacement tank, it is available at $200 off the retail price of $1,595 ($1,395 plus shipping) on orders placed through January 4th.

    Ward, I purchased mine second-hand from another member. I would not expect your company to reimburse me for any installation costs but I would be interested in purchasing the modification to remedy the issue.
    I’ve filled up 3 times since the install and have experienced the “burp” each time.
    Would that be possible?

    I have a manual trans and didn’t need to do any additional modification to install. The tank I purchased was previously on an automatic trans truck...

    I’m looking at purchasing for a 6MT as well. As of a few months ago Ward didn’t know of anyone who has installed on a MT. Great news HomerTaco! I’m still going to meet someone locally that has one and take a peek from the bottom to try and foresee any differences.

    I’ve heard positive results from someone who has installed the new valve. Hopefully the same result for everyone else.
