Come on guys, step up to the plate... Who's interested in this Group Buy? As of now, we just need two more to start discounted pricing.

Due to the frame and bed mounting locations, the DCSB is the only design that fits without modifying.

I wonder if there might be issues with a single piece driveshaft.

    How about fuel level sender?

No go for a one piece drive shaft because it has that piece that goes out over the drive shaft.

I also have a traction bar next to the driveshaft. Oh well....

I dont see what you are talking about that will interfere with a one piece driveshaft. If you are talking about the wire loop im sure you can skip installing it.

The carrier bearing is in front of that tank overhang anyway, so the rear part of the shaft would still articulate. If anything my 1-piece will be lower than the 2-piece. Now if the trac bar clears since it's on the right side, I still might be able to make this work.

I want to be clear that I am not trolling nor am I bashing this product - I seriously wish I could use it but if you have a one piece drive shaft particularly if you bought the correct 4" diameter drive shaft there's is no way that it will clear this tank.

My 4" one piece drive shaft hit the shit out of the OE carrier bearing cross member and super bad when articulated at full stuff on that side so much so that I had to completely remove the OE cross member.

Just look at this photo of where it has the bracket for the carrier bearing and how close it is to the side of the OE drive shaft which is 1.5" smaller than a one piece 4" OD shaft. My drive shaft would hit where the carrier bearing mount is and it would murder that part of the actual tank that sticks out next to and goes up over the drive shaft.

Plus @Voodoo Rufus if you live in CA you better double check because the gas tank itself is considered part of the emissions system so you will not pass inspection.

LOL...and as I'm looking closer at those photos the OP posted I am realizing that is not even a Tacoma in the photos. So I went to the LRA site and grabbed these photos of the actual Tacoma tank :

Now, looking at these photos of an actual Tacoma and how tight it is to the side of the drive shaft and that part that hangs over the top of the drive shaft...you think that will clear a one piece ?

    Check out the build
It's hard to tell, but that second hoop would be a good reference point. How close do you get to that one?

I would have to climb under and look. I have to replace some heims on my links in the next couple weeks and when I have the rear coilovers out I can put it at full bump easily with a jack and snap a pic for you. Bump at the frame is bump at the frame regardless of leaf springs or links etc the only variable is how big your bump stops are. The width of a one piece shaft vs OE is just as concerning in regard to contacting the side of the tank too.

Yeah I know. It's lame. Some of that stuff they can't even inspect without disassembling the engine (camshaft) or tearing into the truck (aftermarket ECUs). Last time I had my truck smogged they just looked around the engine bay, did the OBD2 sensor checks and sent me on my way. Didn't look under the truck at all for the rear cats or at the tank.

jeez your lucky, I've heard other stories like that but both places I've hit the past couple years since the changed to visual inspection actually put it on a lift and even checked the stamped #'s in that little window on the cat heat shields !
