I did forget to mention before tearing the bipod off of the front of my gun I did end up applying the new Magnetospeed grip monopod, and it worked pretty good while I was setting up on the 657 yard groundhog on a wood pile!

Atlas vs Harris. Talk about a holy war.

Each have their pros and cons. I have owned and used both.
I was running an atlas when I was shooting regularly.

My opinion isn't worth much as I was always a middle of the pack shooter in PRS matches though I barely spent anytime practicing.

Yeah that war has been going on forever, but I was referring to the new swagger bipod‘s that the guy was trying to compare a six-inch atlas to .

    They come in 14" too.

If I'm not shooting prone, it's off sticks.

It's still 2 lb. piece of shit, I'd take a Harris duct taped together over strapping that pile to any of my rifles.

The thing weighs almost as much as my spotter.

Come on now, it’s only a pound and a half! LOL
14 inches, would still do me zero good in real hunting conditions. In most of my hunting conditions I am at ground level shooting over the top of agriculture, like hey and soy beans and such. Therefore prone would never work, not that it matters because I can’t shoot prone because of an artificial shoulder and it puts too much load on it. So I have to shoot sitting Indian style and over the top of the cracks. So anything atlas what have to offer would never come close to what I would need. Like swagger them selves say, they saw a void in the market and filled it.

FYI, in the 2018 shot show, swagger has introduced a new bench top bipod that makes the atlas look like an expensive toy! Don’t get me wrong, I do think Atlas makes a very good product, but for the price point that bitch better be the best damn thing on the market and guess what, swagger has outdone them!
    @ 1/4 the cost!
(And no goofy plastic cover, I will admit, that does look a bit cheesy)

Your opinion still matters, you’re still using a product and can tell whether it works or not and have a good honest opinion of it.
My wife like everybody else’s always complained about the price of the higher end products I buy for Hunting, and I tell her. My setups are no table top Queen’s. My shit has to perform! if it fails in service, what good is it. And even with that, look what happened to my bipod last night!

It looks like a big black dildo screwed to your rifle stock.

I've used most of them, I'll stick to atlas. I shoot mostly long range prone hunting. They're not cheap, but that being said i don't own many cheap guns.

See, that’s an intimidation factor. Looks like a big black dildo because it’s about to fuck something up! LOL

This calls for a dirty meme but I'm at work so that's not happening

I'm looking at a new chassis for the Savage though. Deciding between the MDT LSS or the MPA BA Lite

Mostly bench. I'll take it deer hunting each year but I'll be in a blind. My rifle is super heavy now because of the barrel

Doesn't really matter what you think it looks like. Does it work? Does it work for the folks that are in search of a product with more adjustability? Might not work for you, and it might not look the way you want it to. That being the case, I would suggest you don't buy it, and let the others who have give their input as to whether or not its worth the price.

Yeah, since you have the weight of the barrel already factored in for stability, I guess it kind of leaves you wide-open for a choice.

Yea it's a medium contour barrel so it's got some weight. It's almost 10lbs before the optic is on it so I want to reduce that down a little more. I like Master Piece Arms chassis better I think because it's one solid piece. I want to start doing competition shooting so I want to upgrade the chassis once Ive got a few matches under my belt.

Yeah, the one piece is definitely stiffer. You’ll have to show us a pic when you’re all done.

You do realize your on the internet right?

I don't give a shit if you buy one or not, I was just offering my .02, I'm sure it's perfectly capable for a short to mid range rifle, not on my radar or would I reccomend one from my limited time with one for a long range gun.
