I was trying to nicely suggest that you not be a dick. To add, if your ".02" gauge is a dildo, perhaps keep in mind most folks in this section use a bipod for use on a rifle. What you want to compare it to may best be addressed on another site.

So I'm hoping in a year or so to have the money to build a custom rifle. 6.5x47 Lapua is what I've had my eye on. I've considered the Creedmoor because of availability of ammo and factory rifle options, but I really like the idea of a 1-off gun for just me. It would mostly be used for target shooting and the occasional hunt and of course not break the bank. Rather spend a little less on the gun and a little more on ammo and time at the range. That said my thoughts are:
Rem 700 LH action (I'm left handed)
    Mcmillan stock
24" barrel (haven't looked into brands that much yet)
    Talley scope rings
    Vortex Viper PST scope
    Thinking swagger bipod

Thoughts and suggestions are greatly appreciated. I'm really just getting looking into all this stuff so I definitely don't know it all haha.

It was meant tongue in cheek as much in anything.

If one needs a swiss army bipod, I think a good option has been found. (Might need to leave an extra one on safe when if one plans on a long hunting trip)

No. But the local dealer can source them easily and have a gunsmith to bed the action

That’s a good round to reload. You can really make your outfit sing and dance when you find the right formula!

Here's my .02. If you have to buy the action, get a custom by the time you true and blue print a 700 you'll be in it close to the same money. If you ever go to resell, the value for a custom is much higher than a trued 700. Stockystocks makes some one off Mcmillan clones that are very nice for the money. If you can find Hawkins precision rings, those are a sweet option for close to the same money. The bushnell LRHS is a great option for a scope and can be had for decent money, history has shown its more reliable than the vortex. No comment on your bipod choice. :)

Watch long range hunting for deals on used parts, you can save some money if you're patient. Also be prepared to wait, I've got 2 actions sitting waiting for stocks and barrels to arrive that have been 4+ months out already.

Welp I heard back from MPA about the Savage. They said the hybrid chassis is coming out later this year. I asked if they had a more specific date and the guy replies with "No we dont"

Having gone the route of having a 700 action trued as well has having rifles built on two different custom actions I agree with @WRO that you really are better off spending the extra money to just get a custom action. It will cost slightly more but will be worth it in the long run.

Also if your going to go thru the trouble of truing a 700 action then you should get an over sized bolt so you can match the bolt to the action which adds cost.

Selling my Vortex Crossfire II 4-12x44 AO. Had it on my 6.5CM for about 50 rounds then had to send my rifle back to Savage for a new barrel. After I got it back I ended up buying a Vortex HST so I dont need this one. Does come with the box $160

I posted this in the Texas page, almost forgot about this thread.
my Redbeard Gun Works (RBGW) precision rifle build, shoots really nice.
BigHorn TL3 action, Manners PRS-1 stock, Huber trigger, HawkHill barrels.

just shot 100 rounds of 6CM with 110g smks for break in with a random load/seating and shot super tight.

time to load develop the 105g JLK's.

I ordered 5000 jlk's back in feb/mar. when Hybrids or bergers in general are hard to get.
Believe me, I love my Hybrids. And have ample stock in 6.5 hybrids, enough for a few barrels at least.
