Long-term Experience: Archive Garage Hammer Hangers

Anyone have long-term (> 25k miles) experience running @ARCHIVE Hammer Hangers?

I am heavily considering this for my next suspension modification. I've heard these can stiffen the rear end, and I'm looking to improve overall ride experience on- and off-road. Also, these would seem to better position the build for bigger tires with regular off road use.

Ive had my hammer hangers on for 4+ years. No issues to report. They're still going strong, and Im glad I made the purchase and install.

Also - I'll be getting those SCS F5's soon! Debating on color.

 

Same here I've had mine on for more than 3 years and no complaints. Hard to tell re: day-to-day driving. I put on the HH at the same time as a new leaf pack so a lot changed at once. I can say that the rear end does feel more stable when I've been towing a trailer with the HH than it did stock.

 

What did y'all do with spare, straight to rear bumper mount, or store in bed at first?

 

yeah I just went with a high clearance rear bumper with a swingout. the long term plan is to put an air tank in that spot mounted up to the cross brace.

did you place it forward or aft of the HH cross brace?

 

I've had mine for 15k. One of the best mods I've done to the back end of the truck. You will feel an improvement immediately. I was able to install them myself in a few hours with an air hammer, drill, and a pry bar.

 

I'd be lying if I said "having an excuse to buy an air hammer" wasn't in some part motivating this project.

I'm just shy of 25k with mine, and I am so glad that I did them. Incredibly worthwhile. This is with the hangers, shackles, and cross brace.

I did my install in ~4 hours, with just a drill and angle grinder, fyi. Though I always love an excuse to buy some new tools!

Nice! Yeah installation looks a little more involved but no more so than installing shocks and springs. Great project to do On a Sunday morning.

 

Their products, and their packaging, are top notch as well. Everything fit so perfectly.

 

Id just recommend an angle grinder and renting a ball joint C clamp press. You can do it by drilling out the rivets, but why work harder?
