I've worked for GM for over 16 years and the dealership I'm at now also has a Toyota dealership as well. Soooooo.... I started looking for a toy! Always wanted one and just recently got a really nice one in on trade, 05 Access cab SWB with 72K. Also had a shell with it, but I have taken it off for now. Love it!

I have ALOT of catching up to do after looking around this site! Lol. So far I've, changed both diffs and the t-case. Performed a (FIS) or fuel induction service. Under coated, new tires, rear shocks are on the way. Plastidipped the emblems and front lower valance tonight, and bedliner sprayed the skid plates. A older man had it and just used it to go fishing, he had already recently replaced the plugs, battery, rear brakes, cabin filter ect, all at our dealership. Very well taken care of!

I too was a long time GM guy til I bought my used 2011 TRD OR w/ 12k mi on it in june 2012. My 1st Toyota ever and I LOVE my truck. Had a 99 chevy Z71 from new til I sold w/ 245k mi on it, loved that truck too.....but my 06 chevy I did NOT like, for one the interior seemed like it was made with very cheap materials, fit and finish very poor/cheap.
Sure you will love your "new" tacoma and it will likely last longer than any of your coworkers brand new chevys! Congrats!!
