Classic post. "I installed 6" of lift and now it rides like shit!"

    LOLOLOL

Very much the same as the guys that buy a Texas Hardtail motorcycle and complain of a harsh ride. It's a fucking hardtail!!

Hmm...I'll take some of this  and one of these :sandwich:. This could get interesting with the glamour shot that was given.

Ive only ever been near two 6" DB lifts personally at meets and when we compared his angles to that of a stock truck the DB lift actually had inverted the stance of the LCA's and his were up further thus less ground clearance.

I only bust on 6" lifts because they serve no functional use beside looking "gnar". My buddy had his on 35" tires and had less ground clearance at the LCA's then a stock Taco with OE 30" tires. Pretty freaking sad.

Can't forget side clearance and the option to run large tire :)

Guys are running 35-37's without them and I'm running pretty much a 34" tire on pretty much no lift.

and what is side clearance? Never heard of it?

I haven't read all the thread, but I'm sure someone has already mentioned the 6" lift actually maintains driveline angles better then a 3" lift. Tacos are known for drive line vibrations even in STOCK form. Sounds like you need to play with pinion angle, carrier bearing etc.. to get your truck in spec.

My truck is parked for 14 days at a time, I work a 2 week on 1 week off schedule so I had to use the only picture I have available. Thanks to the guys who are coming up with viable opinions, if I drop the truck to the 3" any suggestions on what make of lift? Money is no issue it's not what I am complaining about it's the search for a smoother ride while still maintaining a larger tire size...

Just meant ground to frame clearance on the side. Oh no doubt they are all sweet rigs! Just throwing my .02

Isn't there several levels of Fabtec lifts? The worst being a drop bracket with shock extenders and spacers. And the best is drop bracket with real coilovers.

    Bone stock. For now.
This. Take it to someone who knows what they are doing with a modded vehicle. If you take it to your local mechanic chances are the majority of what they work on is off-the-lot-factory vehicles, and they will have no clue what the issue is with your truck, let alone how to fix it.

As for the 3" lift, you have a TON of options out there.

Since money is not an issue, Pull the OEM fenders & bedsides picking up some flared versions.

Better be good at fabrication or pay someone who is. Weld in some tubing supporting the larger shocks and springs to handle the tires. You are moving significantly higher wheel mass than OEM spec. Expect to tune in the suspension to the desired feel you are after swapping out springs and shock valving. When done you will have effectively built a street trophy truck for the purpose of running larger tires. I would guestimate your will have spent another $10K by the time you have done it right.

If you get to tall you loose functionality. If done right you get one heck of a fun toy. Be prepared to pay to play.
