Hello Ladies, Gentlemen, Scoundrels and Fellow Fools. I've been consuming all the information from this fine web site for the last two and a half months in anticipation of owning my first Tacoma!! I special ordered a 2015 Silver Sky Metallic TRD Off Road DCSB 4x4 with an auto V6 with JBL Nav in early January and it's due to my dealer late next week. I can't wait to get my grubby little hands on it. I've owned several F150's and a 2nd gen Tundra so it's going to take some getting used to with the smaller size but I'm looking forward to it. It'll be nice not trying to navigate a battleship in the woods with the full size trucks. I already worked out a deal to get some black FJ Trail Teams right off the bat and will be adding a set of 265/75r16 Duratracs to them ASAP. I've run those tires on my F150 and love them for winter driving up here in Michigan as well as the light off road I enjoy doing. This truck is going to be my daily driver so I don't want to get too crazy with he mods but I do hope to get it dirty often. Along with the wheels I intend to get a set of WeatherTech floor mats, vent visors and a hood protector (I live on a dirt road). I am also in the final stages of deciding which access tonneau cover to get. Other than that I don't even know where to go from there. Grillcraft grill with a set of off road lights inside is probably next followed by sliders. That's my other internal struggle. I plan to light off road, no rocks up here really, and hate the idea of welding or drilling on a new frame. Plus I don't know how well I can keep them in decent enough shape without rusting away from the salted roads up here despite rattle can applications. Rambling here so thanks for all the information and I look forward to the spririted conversations only the internet can provide.:D

Super stoked. Should be a proud owner in a couple days! Got prices on a set of Duratracs and have a 20% of coupon for autoanything.com for my first few purchases and found out from this fine forum the best place for my tonneau cover from truck alterations. The week can't go fast enough........

    For those interested or not.....

Thank you. Like your ride. Almost went with black myself but hate trying to keep it clean living on a dirt road. But they look so good clean.

We have a love-hate relationship...I had to figure out that it would never again be as clean as the day I bought it and then it was all good. Thank you by the way. Let's get some pictures up in here! You pick it up yet?

I haven't picked up the truck yet. Hope to get a call today or tomorrow but as long as its by Friday all will be well. Pics will come as soon as possible. As far as the sliders go, I want some extra protection for the rockers to help deflect stones and such from the gravel road I live off and I'm not one to half a$* anything with something thats not fully functional. I do intend to off road some up here in Michigan so they seem logical. I might just get the faux sliders from Avid since they seem to hug close and won't obstruct ground clearance as much as nerf bars seem to. I'm consuming info everyday so I can make the right decision the first time. Any advice is welcome.

Hope my impatience can last. My Toyota dealer also shares a lot with Nissan and I got to looking at a nicely equipped Frontier Pro-4X. Got my wheels turning.....

    Must stay strong....

Almost bought a 2015 F150 yesterday with the V8 and most of the options I like. Got a really good offer. Must stay strong but now I think I have an extra bargaining chip for my Tacoma when it comes in. I just hope its by Tuesday. I've been waiting since January I suppose I can wait a couple more days.

Truck is in! Just got back from the dealer and was able to check it out with the wrapping still on it. Looks great and sounds fantastic with the TRD Exhaust. They are going to prep it tomorrow since it was so late in the day. Dealer is going to throw in the black FJ Trail Team wheels and heated front seats plus $500 off msrp. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Pics to come.

Hours to go. The dealer called and said their service department was swamped before they even got started and it won't be ready until tomorrow. Tried to sell me a simoniz treatment for interior and exterior sealant but declined. Can't wait till tomorrow. Like waiting for Christmas. So close.......

TacomaDarth, I just had mine built and it too came in yesterday! I have all of my parts; lift, wheels, tires, etc. just waiting to be thrown on this bad boy! Didn't know you could get heated seats, kinda wishing I would have done that! Can't wait to see yours.

Behold for it is small in stature but mighty in heart!! I am now a full fledged member!! Finally took ownership yesterday evening and haven't had a lot of time to fire off some pics yet. Love the sound of the TRD exhaust and the JBL is more than adequate for my needs. FJ trail team wheels should be here in a couple days and I will mate them with a set of 265/75r16 C Duratracs. Hope they don't rub the flaps any since I really want to keep them. Thanks everyone and yes, SO happy I waited.

Made lots of orders last night so Santa UPS should be making several visits next week. WhiteTaco 7 I didn't know I could get heated seats until I was talking with the salesman about how I wished Toyota would offer more flexibility with their packages like "leather" and heated seats only being available in the Limited model. They are aftermarket but I'm sorry I don't have any other information on them than that. Super hot though. Totally does the trick. Can't wait for the weekend!!!!!!

Looks great and can't wait to see it with all your mods! I should be getting mine next week, and Santa UPS has been dropping things off all week, can't wait to do before n after pics.

Thanks everyone. I have an appointment for next Saturday morning for tire and wheel install. Super stoked for that. Freaking dig this thing so far. So hard to keep myself from stomping on the gas to let it break in as recommended by Toyota.

Where are you in "Northern Michigan"? I'm in Lansing and folks around here have different definitions of "Up North". Welcome by the way and enjoy the truck. You'll have to meet us at Silver Lake Sand Dunes May 8-10. You'll love it. Also, if you are anywhere near Camp Grayling, there are a ton of spots to off road around there.
