My bro has been running wheel spacers up front on his mid-travel kit and loves them because he doesn't have to buy new rims.

it should... but i'd make some calls first.

i think camburg might offer their own version of a heim steering upgrade, it's just not on their site

the stock tie rods are def a part you should upgrade. my heim steering is great

I dont see why it wouldnt work. But thats big money right there. Dont know if you have a welder or not. Look into getting a clevis and making your own steering. It will be about 250bucks for hiems, misalignments, hardware, bungs, and material plus what ever clevis's cost. Will be cheaper and will get rid of the ball thing on the rack from Toyota.

I'm working on a design for a clevis at work, should be getting a few made in the next few months hopefully.

yeah, $500 is alot for a simple steering upgrade... TC shit is kinda over priced.

So i cleaned most of the paint off of the Kit and this is the only crack i found. its about a 1/4 inche long and is on the bottom of the LCA wher it bends toward the uniball.

All offroad stuff in general is. But ya I will agree. I see the prices that TC and a few other companies charge and it motivates me to make the part myself. Even if it cost me more if I have to buy a tool or so. I'm still better off.

Look at it this way. Most companies charge 2-5k for a long travel kit. Iv costed out roughly what a LT kit will cost me to build including spindle its about 1600-1800 for everything minus my time which is free to me.

Yeah I was thinking about that and I do have a welder but Im kinda new at it so I wasnt sure. It doesnt look like it would be hard to make. I welded my spindles and limit straps and stuff and they turned out ok. Kinda gobby but they are strong

^Other than getting everything to mount and making sure I have enough adjustment is there really anything that I could do wrong if I made them? Just make them look like TC ones and the right length and I should be good? And I know what a clevis is for a limit strap but for the clevis your making for steering is the very end part that has threads and goes into the steering rack? Thats the part I couldnt make

that's a clevis but that 1 is for a ford ranger. Camburg I think makes a clevis and I think BMS does as well.. so instead of having the threads that tie into the factory part you would remove the boot and add a clevis. Then you would run 2 heims 1 on each end of the tie rod.

it would looks something like this when done.

Such a huge switch box. Is the 8' of cable provided enough to reach the dash?

That's a good spot except I mounted my ham radio there. I wonder if you could take those individual switches out and put them in blanks.

I think the switches are attached to boards from what i remember. What about that cubby hole by the ignition or inside the center console.

Thinking since its only a 1/4" drill two small holes 1 on each side so it don't spread even after welding. May just widen it with a dremal so u don't have a huge slice from a grinder.
