Long Travel BS Thread

im going to do something like that but more of a custom rack that takes up the whole length of my bed.

 

I'm about to buy the defined kit. so my rear Will be lt in a month or couple months

 

Yeah I was going to do that but the Thule actually fit perfect on the available area I had for it with the pivot and everything. If I had made custom the dims would have been mere inches different. Thats why i just bought this one, perfect fit and the Thule cross bars are movable for kayak/sup/bike/whatever carriers.

I couldnt have even come close to making one of these for what I paid Pro Deal anyways so that was a big factor as well.

 

I really have nothing bad to say about Camburg at all. Scott answered my call before the first ring. Spent a good amount of time helping answer my questions, as stupid as they might have been lol. Figured out where to go with my valving and things of that nature.

they have answered every time i have called as well, and answered questions for me for a while even after i told them i bought a used BJ camburg kit. pretty cool if you ask me.

I have dealt with Jerry once. I have dealt with Scott multiple times and every single time I am always very happy. He takes the time with me. We talked about valving and what changes would do what for my ride and gave me a few options.

Currently valved at 30/50 and the damn compression is way to soft for me. He recommended going 60/40, Fox valve stacks.

Any of you guys that have re-valved your shocks have any input on what valving you have and how its worked and what stacks you came across to get to that point?

 

Your valving will be different compared to most due to the 4Cyl and lighter spring rate (assuming you're running a lighter spring rate). So it'll make it harder to get comparison numbers for you.

 

True just curious more-so to how people "feel" their ride changed when they changed their valving. I am running a 500lb spring.

 

I am also running 500lb springs. With the valving I'm the coil over from fox the truck seamed to bottom out on anything rougher than wash board roads. After revalving a little heavier than Scott recommended to you going through places I would cringe at and did first time out after revalve it took it like a champ. Truck feels planted and more stable now.

 

What are u valves at now? Mine seems soft and has the 600lb coil pre valved from burg.

 

with my new valving and preloading it feels like a totally different truck. my favorite mod since long travel was installed.

 

Running close to a #90 stack on comp and a #35 stack on rebound.
