Not sure I can ask Him which one he uses. I have class with him tomorrow. He was telling me about when it got hit and he fixed it that night. I think that is pretty impressive lol.

wow, after a hit like that I'm surprised the frame wasn't totaled.
yeah if you could ask what components or brands they fly that would be awesome!

Looks like the weld failed, not the part...

If the crack originates from the location shown in the last picture (as far as I can tell this is the case) it appears as if the weld that initially broke then traveled up towards the upper shackle bolt would have been an Engage weld unless the shackle mounts come completely un-welded and just folded, which I'm not sure.

The engage weld broke which caused the material to pull away from the weld to frame. One side fully separated the other just cracked

So as much as I am not a engage guy. Why does this keep coming up? Yes quality is lacking. This is well known by now. Some guys have had luck with their stuff. You have no reason to complain at this point if your stuff doesn't work or fail because its known. It wouldn't be an issue if you paid more and bought something from another company that is known for a high end product. What some of you guys keep forgeting engage isn't some huge company. I don't know them or been there but they have maybe 5 people working there? No real true R&D department. Hell do the welders have certs? how is the product approved for shipment? Its things like that you have to think about. You can't fault the guys for trying to start a small business. Yes the products are not top quality but the price reflects that also. Part of the blame has to rest on the buyers. You cheaped out and this was the result. You want to see shit like this stop from happening? stop buying from them. If you do and it fails or whatever the case is. Take it up with them. I'm sure they will fix it or whatever. But it was your choice to buy from them. the engage bashing is beating a dead horse by now.

This is not targeted at you chris just a general statement.

Hey to start with this is not my product and this is the first time I've posted anything somewhat negative about a company and to be honest all I did was post a picture of a product that broke. I didnt say anything negative or dont support them. I was just posting a long travel picture in a long travel bs thread. To clarify I've never heard a bad thing about the dudes at engage and from what I've seen here they are generally down to help out and that is extremely commendable.
