hopefully in the next 2 months i'll start working on a mini buggy/offroad go cart.
heres a link to the plans: http://www.sadik.net/gokart/
on the A-arms, do i want to make the top arm a little shorter? if so how much shorter? 1/2-1''?
suspension wise i think i'll do CO's on the front and back, the engine will be front mounted, for now i'm using a mower engine and tranny, the tranny has hi and lo range, each with 6 gears and reverse.

if the arms are equal length, then there will be zero camber change through the suspension cycle, which some dont 100% prefer. I've talked to some people who do want a little negative camber on droop and bump for handling purposes. How much shorter you want the upper arm to be compared to the lower are is up to you, and you can experiment by cycling and measuring camber change.

Actually if the upper and lower are the same length it will have crazy amounts of camber change

Not if the mounting points between the upper and lower arms have the same separation at both the frame and the spindle

True if the were parallel it would have no camber change

Honestly, I don't understand leaving most of the stock interior seeing how its extra weight. I kept my dash, center console, speakers, and such but all the plastics and seat cushions aren't necessary, especially in a caged vehicle.

The plastics are the biggest problem imo because after a while they start falling apart and making horrible rubbing noises.

I'm not discrediting the work that was done on that particular truck.

Mostly for sound deadening because its my DD. When it gets loud I'll switch out to dyna mat or something but its not a race truck so I'm not too worried about the extra 20 or 30 pounds of plastic and carpet and headliner. I didn't put any of the metal parts, stock seat belts, or jack or any of that, so the plastic, headliner, and carpet isn't much extra weight

    ok, thanks.
so if i want the same geometry i'd build basically a spindle with the mount points the same distance apart as on the frame, then add lift to the spindle (move the part that the bearings and hub go on, down) to get extra ground clearance.

Extra weight? HAHAHA. It's a desert truck, weight is the last thing to be worried about. Especially a negligable amount as stock plastic interior pieces...

Alright guys need some help, installed defined sua kit and loving it. except 2 things
-Current shocks and hoops are way to long, i have like 3" of uptravel at ride height.
-Ride height is a lot lower than expected even with the HD pack.

Should i get a shorter shock to utilize my current shock hoops, or use what i have and re-build the hoops?

Also what do you guys think of the engage spring hangers that will lower the spring, therefore raise the ride height?
