Sorry in advance for the dumb question but what size tires and wheels are you guys running with a tc kit on 2nd gens? TC site says 33's but it looks like quite a few guys here are running 35's. I am also curious the the benefits of 17s vs 16s as the builds I have been looking at seam to use 17's.

im running 285"s on 16s.

35"s would fit on mine as i have chopped the cab mount, and hammered back the pinch weld. have not checked full bump clearance but it SHOULD clear everything if i went to 35"s.


16 vs 17s, i would say just go with whichever you want and can afford tires for that size rim. some could argue more sidewall on a 16" rim but i really doubt an extra 1/2" of side wall all around will matter much

 

Some 16" rims don't clear the brakes and rub, back spacing is the # to worry about if u want 16s. I was running 16s with 35s on a camburg kit and some rubbing with cab mount chop and a bfh to the pinch weld. Like above says go with u can afford but be careful on backspaces on 16s and my main issue is u never see non dot tires(short course cut grabbers or toyos or bfg baja ta's) come up for sale in a 16 also

 

yo why you looking for a fuel cell? what are the benefits I always thought people just put then on linked trucks because you can't really use stock gas tank with a linked set up but I know people have fuel cells with springs just like Chris's new truck

So my leafs are at deaver, getting looked at. I took them by earlier on the truck, and as soon as the guy looked at them he said, that doesnt look right. So its going to be a defect or re-arching. If I have to pay for anything, would it be worth it to just get a 50T pack? I guess it depends on if and how much they charge me at deaver.

 

Where would you buy a 50T pack at?

From what I understand Engage no longer carries them because the price jumped significantly.

 

Nope they still have them, I just stopped by their shop.
Yes the price did go up, but its that or deavers
