the tires hit the bypass tubes on the upstroke too early?

 

I guess i worded that wrong lol the bypass tubes arent correct in the shocks stroke if your running 16's, 14's are perfect for the kit.

 

in terms of location on the body? as in, they would be better located in the front or rear, versus on the outer edge of the shock body?

I'm learning here, no LT, yet...

 

What he is trying to say is the Defined kit was designed for 14" bypasses. With 16" bypasses you are riding around in the middle of the compression tube.

 

Nothing to do with where the shock is located.

The defined kit cycles 14" of wheel travel at the most. When the kit is cycling wheel travel, and you have 16" shocks.... the stroke of the shock isnt hitting the bypasses(internally) where it should. Thus not giving the "best" offroad ride through whoops etc.

 

so getting 16" bypasses would be a waste with the defined kit, correct?

how does this look for placement of the bumps? this is the best place i could come up with where it still clears the coil. also how do you make sure that the bump does not come into contact with the coil? like if it clears at ride hieght and droop is it good at bump?

 

I hope that bumpstop is shortened up to a 2"....

 

Thanks man for the expert advice. Way to be a douche. All I'm asking for is a simple answer. Its obviously a shortened. I would never run 4" bumps on the font. Thanks, next person have any better advice?

 

How many of you guys (2nd gen) have issues with your back tires rubbing your bypass shocks?

If you do, please post what sort of set up you are running and at what point the tires are rubbing during articulation.

 

Wow, you considered that being a douche. How is it obviously shortened? My x ray vision supposed to see through the body. Put the spring retainer on and see if it hits.....

Used to, with extreme articulation.

Engage Rear LT setup with 315s on 17"x8"s with 4"bs now with 1.5" spidertrax spacers. The spacers seem to have solved my issue.
