I am planning to switch my front out for either fox or icon extended coilover with resi and i might be switching to the camburg 1.25 uca's. I realize the lca is a weakpoint so i might gusset the little thin section that has the ball joint attach to the spindle

mentally i am dedicated enough but when it comes down to it i dont want to spend the coin for something i might use. I really wanna get into and chase and shit but realistically i dont see it happening i guess. Ill be stuck in mid travel for a while if not for the rets of the time i own my curfrent truck

Hmm...that AP flit kit/air bump idea is tempting. I might do that, let me see if my buddy still has that set of air bumps he offered me before...

    Kinda stock
He's my buddy. He got the cage from a guy off dezertrangers. He just had the idea to basically make his rear midtravel and removable bedcage for trips. He doesn't off road much and wants the truck to still look stock. This could of been done by slapping in some 2.5" in the stock replacement with the adapter plates from total chaos. He'll change it up once my brother and I LT our rears.

    JD,

The only clearance you will lose is the area that the leaf springs will occupy under the axle. The axle will stay at the same height off the ground, it's just that the leafs will sit under it instead of on top of it.

I have been talking to them a lot recently. The only thing is a do some rocky wheeling every once in a while and idk if the sua will be more of a hassle than its worth

Thanks Chase. You think i would be hitting rocks and stuff on the leafs? I either want to go this route or air bumps. I know completely different.

The defined kit hangs at the lowest point on your dif. I help install one on a friend's truck and that was a concern at first because he crawls his truck often. hitting the springs on a rock is just as possible as if it you were spring over. go out and look at your springs and u-bolts and check if you hit them before. if not you really shouldn't worry too much.

There is the gaint kit. But the one thing is that sits at just about stock height a little higher but not a ton but you pull 21" of travel. Its pretty over kill.

Most people buy all of the parts they will need to do sua and then weld it or have someone else do it. you can find use leaf packs all day long on DR and the mounting hardware you can get from KarTek or TC and a few other places.

It blows for the 2nd gen guys that the frame tapers in to make mounts a bit of a pain to mount aftermarket leaves, but sick you guys have an easier time to mount the shocks on the outside of the frame. If anyone plans to do a whole spring under kit conversation, might as well go all the way and make it long travel. Amaes your truck is sick man.

This is looking very appetizing. I like the fact that I can keep the bedsides. Anyone know what shock you would use?

Cliff is having a bed cage built and going to be running a 2.5x16 Fox Smooth resi unless he gets a deal on some bypasses. But you can use stock length shocks on that kit if you want until you have the coin for a cage and shocks. You just won't get the up travel that you would after you cage it.

Just call Mike (owner) he is one of the coolest guys around. I spent all day with him when we were installing cliff's kit on because we were taking notes to help him create a install guide. He is in Inland Empire, Ca also. I'm sure he would give you a ride in the truck and show you some things if you asked him.
