Really? I thought they were thinner. Maybe I got my metals mixes up. Ill confirm with LSK on the thickness of the spindles.

 

OK I was mistaken. They are 3/16s HOT rolled steel. Shows how much I need to learn about Fab work. :/

i thought the same thing when i seen it.

Nope I have bought cold rolled 3/16th before and it's not cheap. All the sheet I buy is mostly HRPO (Hot Rolled Pickled & Oiled)

We have ran cold roll / P&O steel on all our race trucks in the last 10 years and never seen a kit bust. Mostly 3/16 thickness (my Toyota is 1/4 cold roll but I built that thing super overkill..lol)
3/16 cold roll is plenty for suspension if it is structurally built right. Its all about plating/ gussets and proper geometry. That's what makes a kit. Who cares if its 4130 chromoly plate if its not strong with proper plate work/ geometry.
Its usually the stock mounting spots that the kit is bolted to that rips and cracks apart.

 

Any body know for sure what size straps the front end of a second gen with camburg kit needs

 

Are the tabs already welded? Im running 13s but they are a little long

Anyone know which socket size/depth is needed for king bump nuts? The guy I'm buying them from doesn't have the right size to remove them.
