the baja, the race version. 37x12.5x17

i found a guy who is selling them NEW for 550 a tire. which i think is still way too much.

wish i just had a nice friend who would hook it up with a deal.

Like mentioned before if you want the baja T/A's check out RDC or DR for used ones with most their tread for cheap.

ive heard good and bad about them on the street. obviously they are not for the street but i guess it all depends. i saw that post already, just waiting for a response from him. either i get theses or generals..or pro comp a/t's again....the other options are cheaper thats for sure, but I just wanted to see if I can find a better tire out there.

    Cons-they are stupid heavy
    they have shitty traction
very stiff side wall so airing down doesn't help, also harsher ride because of that
more stress on drivetrain from weight
    more stress on hubs
    suck in the sand

    Pros- they don't get flats
They look super sweet trophy truck status

My truck goes into Solo on the 11th for the build (spring under bypasses/ 19" kit)...so now I would just be showing u a stock truck & parts. I left the desert in 2008/09 when I sold my last truck to help with the down payment on my house. Now i had the itch again so decided to go with a built Tacoma vs a stock Raptor ( I couldn't believe the premium companies are up charging for parts) I'll hold you over with pictures of my first truck. http://www.dezertrangers.com/vb/ranger/171115.htm ...Its the first truck in the post.

the grabbers are heavy if you are thinking of those...

im running 315-75-16 and i can feel the difference...

like Tyler said, the BFGs look pimp status, but personally, unless you are logging in a lot of dirt miles, they may not be the best option unless you got some deep pockets...

im really just trying to get away from the pro comps if possible, they are great tires but id like to try something different. ya they look pimp for sure...but for as much as im able to get out and use my truck it almost not worth getting the bfg's but...for the times when i do..hah.

yah, don't skimp on tires if you can help it... cuz the times that you do hit dirt, you don't want to be kicking yourself for cutting corners...

If You've got the money, and you want to look baller status...then by all means, go spend 2g's on tires that you'll use one a month as they are intended for!
