So how about we change directions here to try to ease the tension (I hope...)

What intakes are you guys running? Ever have problems with sand getting in your intake? I was thinking about going to the URD TCAI since it doesn't suck air from right above my tire. Should be better for my sand stuff since I'm not usually following people in the sand.

My intake after playing in the sand for only a few hours:eek: That isn't even all of it and sadly that is only what my filter stopped... I'm sure some had to of passed through...

Trust me stay with the stock paper filter! It's really the best for dirt. When you go in the sand put a stocking over your intake tube in the fender. Pretty much stops all sand getting in and doesn't restrict air flow.

I am running an AFE pro dry filter... stocking sounds like a good idea but I may have to dig around some to find the end of the tube.

Could put it over the the tube on the inside of the box? Oh and I've tried just about every filter on the market and always end up back with the Toyota OEM filter.

Awwww no links to prove me wrong Aaron??? Suddenly can't post sweet IG pics?:confused::confused:

And indeed, stockings/pantyhose work great for keeping the finer silt out of the filter. Or just re-route your intake after moving battery to the back?

Ok. Anyone tried out the URD TCAI?

Then when I get into the sand/dust or rain just throw a cover over the filter

Not really they just never stop what a flat paper filter does. That's why any high end prerunners and trophy trucks run huge ass paper filters. The only foam filters that stop all dust are heavily oiled foam filters but you can't run them if you have an o2 censor

Stay with stock or if you want intake go with Trd/afe. I'd recommend getting a snorkel.

I thought I was the only one. I have light dust in between the air filter and charcoal filter too.
