The weren't on there when i bought the truck. Haven't bothered putting any on because the rack is toast. I will be running them with the new rack.

That's also where I got my replacement rack. Fit, finish, and quality is top notch.

How is that wrap holding up to sand spray and other desert abuse? Do you have any details on the material? Thickness, type, manufacturer? Thanks!

The wrap probably has about 400 miles on it I'm guessing at this point. 100% offroad obviously... I don't know the details on it though. It was done by Warrior Wraps here in Vegas.

As for wear and tear... The front facing edge of the rear fenders are a bit peppered from rocks. I typically just don't run the fenders when out testing to help save them. They have a couple scratches from Jprich diving for a fence line to move out of Baldwin's TT coming up from behind too. It seems to be holding up somewhat decent though. There's a couple edges where it's starting to peel and I may just razor blade those off to help keep it from getting worse. Also it's spider cracking a bit here and there on the fiberglass from flex which I wasn't exactly expecting.

Is it show quality still? No, probably not, but from 5'-10' away it still looks amazing and the truck gets attention everywhere it goes which was the point. It's still doing it's job great and the truck grabs a lot of exposure cause of it.

I don't know if I'd do it on a personal truck but for something like this where you want attention and are hoping to gain support from sponsors it seems like a reasonable investment.

I actually have my personal truck plasti dipped and I think for my personal offroad toy, that's honestly a better way to go where I'm not out showing it, displaying it, racing it, etc... If you just want a solid durable finish that will hold up to abuse and is cheap I think that's a more realistic way to go. Plus you can change colors every couple years for cheap... LOL

X2. Just finished a Joshua Tree trip in my dipped taco. Went through some gnarly bushes and trees, but the dip held up and protected my paint underneath. On the spots where the dip likes to wear off, like the entry areas under the doors and stuff, i just touch up with the same color dip in spray cans.

Yeah, I've been more the pleased with the outcome of the dip on my truck! For $350 including purchasing the spray gun I couldn't ask for more. Maybe time will tell and I'll change my mind but mine has been dipped since May. It's stored outside here in Vegas and has survived this summer just fine. Only places I have any issues is it's starting to peel a tiny bit on the lower door jam/kick panel from my shoes/legs brushing against it getting in and out. I can wash it just like a normal painted car without issue and typically just hosing it off is all it needs.

The wrap is more of a marketing tool and has it's purpose for sure. It's going to get more attention then a dipped truck would obviously. But for just a weekend toy that you want some color on, look into the dip. I figure next time I change color I own the gun now, it'll set me back $250 to do it again. Assuming my truck doesn't sell, I'll probably change colors every 2 years or so... They've got a TON of colors to choose from thru the webpage too.

I'm asking $16.5K with some room to budge btw!!!! 3.4L and what you see here...

That is a really good deal! Linked and caged truck for less than what it would cost to link and cage a truck lol

Nope... But pretty much every detail and more is here.

    http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/cto/4032315584.html

And I'm only selling it cause I have the chance to step up to something WAY gnarlier that's well within my budget assuming I can unload this one. It's not a lemon or anything I'm sick of. Just trying to take advantage of an offer I have on the table and this would be the funds I need to dive on it.

"If" I can sell it, it's replacement is a mutt of a truck but we'll just say it would be about 400hp, more travel, more bling, bigger shocks, etc...

Horrible teaser pictures of what will be in my driveway if it sells.

Would love to get rid of it to step up to the new one! If it doesn't sell in time though and the offer on my table goes away... I'll be keeping it. I've got the parts gathered to build myself some better spindles, I'm likely going to build new upper front control arms too and cut off the factory pivots and go with tabs off the frame rails and have it adjust on heims. I'll do some frame plating while I'm in there at the same time as well I think. Then this next summer I'll start putting some love into the cab. Between the race truck, this truck and my exploder I'm almost always tinkering on one or the other. The race truck is Jprich's deal... The exploder and my yota get love as time and budget allow. Everything is kinda on pause right now though till I know if I'm pulling in that ugliness I posted above to finish up or if I'm keeping my yota. I really want to get my exploder painted and an atlas transfercase in it asap too but that's all on hold till I know my future direction with the yota or mutt truck.

I'm not a brand loyal person... DGAF what kind of truck is in your driveway as long as it makes you happy. This new one... Bare bones specs... Older square body style standard cab F150. brand new never even been fired up yet 6.0L Chevy LQ9. Needs wired to chassis and plumbed still. Trans is a culhane built 4 speed auto. Monster rear axle. Equal beams, swing steering, linked rear. Coilovers and BIG bypasses all around. Needs the fenders hung too. It looks ugly in those pictures but that's cause it's been sitting in the back corner of a friends machine shop for 5+ years now unfinished being used as a storage container to stack crap on. LOL If I get it, it would be a while till I actually finished it up but in the mean time I'd do a full tear down and rebuild on it. I'm a little anal with my money and I wouldn't spend a dime on it till I replenished what I pulled from savings to make the deal. Once I had that money saved back up though, it would just be a couple weekends of work and not much out of pocket to have it in the dirt running.

It's a brand new built truck. And... If you've heard of Armada Engineering... One of the owners, Igor, is who fabbed this truck. It's not as crazy and exotic as some of the stuff they put out these days but trust me, it's WAY beyond anything I'm capable of building. It's got a lot of nice aluminum and tin work. All custom firewall, wheel wells, the back is all aluminum sheeted in with coolers in scoops and all. The little bit of fab work I'd have to do hopefully wouldn't ugly it up too much. Engine needs wired and plumbed and fenders all need mounted basically. It also needs 100% tear down and rebuild just to ensure everything is tight and ready to go. It's sat so long that the owner isn't 100% sure where it was left off.

Pretty much, it's my dream truck, I've always said if I could have anything it would be an older F150 with a chevy drivetrain. Well, here it is... LOL Just need to sell mine to make it happen so I can pull the trigger and pick it up. I already have the remainder in pocket to purchase it, I just need to sell mine for the rest... The offer to buy this other truck though isn't an open ended deal. He eventually will list it publicly for sale, he's holding it as long as he can though for me as a favor and giving me first dibs on it.

I'm running one off a full like a ranger splash in my '89 pickup and in the TPF race truck I think we're running something out of like a fullsize chevy. I don't remember exactly what it's out of though. I just told the driveline place to use what they thought was best and I went with what they recommended. Haven't had any issues ever with either.

You could possibly call up Adam's driveline in Henderson and tell them you've heard they swapped in another carrier in a few toyota prerunner trucks they've done work on and was curious what setup they went to. Ask for John or James, both are super nice and easy to deal with.
