If you want 4wd and a ton of reliable travel, TTB is really the only way to go. That truck is so awesome.

Yep twin traction beams, they are basically unequal 4wd ibeams. A arm guys love to talk shit on them but they work and are can pull easy 19" of travel with 4wd and do it reliably.

    crazy.

but it looks like the wheels have REALLY bad camber issues through out the travel?? is that why its not super poplar?

Yes the camber change is fixed unlike an a arm. But it's really not a problem at all. It's a little rougher on wheel bearings but nothing compared the the stuff long travel a arms with 4wd have to deal with.

So dry cone then UMP then tube with MAF to throttle body? Is it really that simple? I'm also looking into this route and want to know if it will filter better than stock. It's paper vs paper.

I remember it having quite a bit bump steer in a video someone posted on here a while back. But I didn't really notice any when I saw it at the race. That truck definitely scoots along nicely. He was cool enough to stop and ask if we were cool while I was trying to figure out what was going on with my dif.

ok so i took my axles to a shop to get the tundy tacoma conversion to keep the 4wd on my taco.

he is swapping the outer joints to the tundra shafts, and putting hi angle boots on the inner cv joint.

he said the spline count is different and the race is different? how is that possible?

Edit-i am using 2001 tundra axles

Pffft, TTB, what a waste, who would ever own such a thing!!! BTW, mines pulling 17" and I'm sitting at about $8K into what you see here including purchase of the stock rig. Poor mans travel!

I'm not brand loyal at all... Every truck has it's pros and cons. I'm currently selling my yota to try and pickup a very high end beamed truck with chevy power. If mine doesn't sell by the end of this month though it likely won't be on the market anymore and I'll stick with yota arms and just keep going.

cough cough RJ... End of the month is probably going to be the deadline to buy mine if you're interested still... If it's not sold by then, I'm likely keeping it.

Plans right now are to have the spindles off it possibly tomorrow night and back on by the end of the week. Yanking them off to get my measurements and start my new spindle design/upgrade.
