Ive heard the complete opposite about them actually. I wish I had gone with them or McNeil, I wont get into my ongoing Glassworks story but in a nutshell ordered March 30th......thats pretty much where the story ends hahaha

glassworks is good to me. I ordered my fenders on a monday, i picked them up friday. ordered hiatts fenders a tuesday, got them on a friday. the reason glassworks got bad reviews from what i heard, was an employee was pocketing the money from customers pre-paying with cash for fiberglass stuff. he was fired recently.

Not bad mouthing just sharing the main part of my story. I ordered another set of bedsides March 30th with the fuel door and tail lights glassed in. Paid in full, up front and paid for shipping myself and the set that showed up originally was horrible. Cracking bondo, no gel coat, uneven edges, different heights, seams in the bondo and glass...they belonged in a dumpster, not on my truck. Tim agreed to rectify the situation (hes a good guy) but gave me shipping date promises 3 times and was super flaky the entire time, never contacted me back, excuse after excuse. I finally had to call them out on instagram and file a BBB claim just to get a response, and my bedsides weren't even started, even tho they had "shipped" 10 days prior. They really do make some of the best quality glass out there but if you're not local dont bother wasting your time. I will still run his product on my truck for the time being but I will swap to something else as soon as i destroy these.

    good call

    Krish,

Why the swap to a fiberglass hood vs a one piece clip? Is the weight savings between stock and fiberglass worth it?

Well one pieces are expensive and the camburg kit isn't wide enough to fill it in.
I'm not sure about the weight. I'm only considering switching because fiberglasss is more racecar and the scooped hoods are like gold around here. Otherwise I'll just put some hood pins in the factory hood and call it a day.

I'm only worried about the hinge failing.

Not sure about fiberglass, but the carbon fiber ones claim a 70% weight savings over OEM.

Several have posted an ABS plastic that you can rivet in and use a heat gun to mold... Let me try to find the links for you.
