oooi have a question. what springs would be best for a 10" coilover? i have a 3.0x16x700 and want to get a 3.0x6x500 to go on top of it. is there a different/ better setup? its for a 2wd 4runner with a LT kit.

    What brand? And 16"

    I have a pair of used DR 13" 650s, and a new pair of 14" 700s.

I would think a 14" spring on a 8" shock with a ton of preload in order to give proper ride height will go to block before full stroke

id get an 18'' 700lb coil then. Less preload and it'll ride much better.

I doubt you'll fit that much spring inside a 10" coilover.
    You'd need a 16" primary and a 4" tender.

And unless you have a v8 runner, I'd do 500 tender and 600 or 650 primary instead of 700.

Better call King tomorrow morning and confirm they got them.

16's or 18's? That front bumper is heavy enough without a winch, so with one it'll probably need a good amount of preload to keep the ride height level with the Expo pack in the rear.

Don't think you can fit an 18" with 4wd second gens.
The second gens need the tapered spring plates to clear axles.

It's no simple feat to fit 18's on first gens too.
You have to line up the springs and spring plate slots just perfectly so the brake banjo bolt goes in between the slot at full lock...otherwise...the banjo bolt starts to get deformed...and quick. Don't ask why I know....

If you're talking third gen runner I'd almost say go 500/500..
