so im having a axle wrap issue and its pissing me off, my u bolts are tight, i dont know what else could be causing it.

Engage 13 inch shackles, 50T pack, 16 inch 2.5s, engage hangars, shocks mounted off the rear of the axle.
it feels like something could be loose to be honest and its driving me nuts. on the road and hard packed its fine, in soft stuff it hops like a bunny

Seriously though...what valving are you running and where are the lower shock mounts?
And when you say "soft stuff"...what do you mean? What air pressure are you running in the tires? What kind of tires?

    HAHA

i am unsure of the valving, just got the rear shocks and threw them on. let me ask the guy i got them from to see if he knows. ill report back on that.
the lower shock mounts are off the rear of the axle, off hand id have to say the bolt hole is 3-4 inches behind the axle.

soft stuff meaning a really soft wash, like where i would get stuck with 2wd and a locker pretty much.

i didnt air down for my 2 shake down runs i did, but i am at about 25 PSI. i should have tried that....

    i am running 33x12.5x15 BFG KM2s

yup, go back and try again. Find out what valving you have before you come trouble shoot here.

BTW, Engage will be at Glamis so if you're lucky, they might lend an ear for your problems.

I may eventually put a single bar anti wrap setup on the rear of the TPF truck. We're running a H70 pack that's been modified for a higher stance with more leafs in it then the off the shelf H70 pack with 3" bypass that are valved very well with a 20 stack on compression mounted off the front of the housing and I still get a bit of axle hop.

    It's just what it is...

i was thinking i may need to put a anti wrap setup on my truck as well.

if it was just a little axle hop it would be different, this is TONS of axle wrap.

did you have the exact same spring rates and valving before SUA? Apples and Oranges.

Plus not airing down means less traction put to the ground which means the torque transferred from your drive-train is acting in different ways. If the wheels are spinning around then it will bounce around a lot too.

    no.

ok and he doesnt know the exact valving but he says they are valved for a half ton truck.

i wonder if it could be a mixture of stiff shocks, and not airing down, thus bouncing me around like you are saying.

after the dunes ill tear the shocks apart and re-valve
