Here are my CVs using the Engage 930 conversion adapter:

Any 930 CV off the shelf from Kartek will bolt up. You do need a custom axle that mates to the 930 Inner Race and the Tacoma outer CV though.

I'm doing mine today actually... got the energy suspension bushings. I'm a precoma though (95). From what I've read you just loosen the bolts, jack up one side, insert the bushings, then repeat on the other. I'll report back after I tear into it though... its never as easy as they say.

Engage made the axle but most axle shops will be able to make them as long as you give them dimensions and spline count. Hand them a 930 inner race, and hand them the Tacoma outer CV, and give them a length, they should be able to make it work.

    I believe it is 300M

Do you guys break the inners often or do you just need more articulation out of the inners? I've not seen someone break an inner out of the 7 or so CV's I have seen break now. All but 1 of them was the outer that broke and that one was the shaft breaking near the outer.

    Inner was high speed.
Outer was low speed...and stupid. I blame the shit axle I had at the time.

That's interesting. All of the CV's I have seen break have been while rock crawling. So maybe there is a correlation there.

Actually I didn't even know you guys broke CV's doing high speed stuff, but I guess that is because it is most dominated by Prerunners.

Most of time high speed would not require the use of 4wd

    It was driver error.

Hooked around a corner and there was a huge waterbar. I locked up instead of throttling through it and lawn darted with the fronts locked up. Inner CV cage blew into pieces and everything ripped out through the boot. Also split my front skid. Live and learn.
