Cool, i would also be shocked if it was 6'' wider then a 2nd gen taco but hey. Anything is possible right? haha

Take it with a grain of salt because it is Wikipedia and it's just referencing overall widths...but:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Sequoia

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Tundra

Considering 1st gen Tundras and Sequoias come with the same backspacing on wheels and the same size tires from the factory...I don't see how the sequoia axle can magically gain another 5" when compared to a 1st gen Tundra

There is no way a first gen sequoia's axle is 6" wider that a second gen Tacoma. It's about an 1" wider

Just got off the phone with my brother in law. Quick tape measurement and it's just a Tundra axle with disk brakes.

Just a quick question. Any of you guys still run the backing plate for the front brakes on your second gen tacomas. Mines messed up pretty bad and I dont want to buy a new one.

    Gentlemen,
Could use a little assistance....am in need of a pair of stock coil buckets for a 1st Gen Tacoma. If anyone happens to have a pair laying around or knows someone at a shop that's about to cut someone's off for an install I would really appreciate a referral!

Trying to get our truck ready to race the Mint and need to add back a little something to attempt to make the truck 7100 legal. Appreciate any help you guys can muster!

To add to this Brady the 2nd gen Sequoias do not use the same axle as the 2nd gen Tundras. The Sequoias have an independent rear suspension now.

Ah I see. I didn't look too much more into it since I was pretty sure a 2nd gen diff wouldn't fit it since it's a 5 lug like the Tundras.
