    3 link has a wishbone upper, 4 link has individual tubes as the uppers.

    I have never seen that with the 3 link setups I have seen..just a single upper link and panard...

    Where does it mount to the truck?

    Pioneer HU & door speakers, Alpine type R, Kicker dx1000.1, OME 883 lift, Wheelers 2" AAL, custom mesh grille, smoked LED taillights, LED light bar, Raptor exhaust dumped before axle, custom fabbed roll bar/light bar mount
    Same concept as a 4link, except instead of separate uppers the two upper links are just connected into a wishbone. The two ends attach on the inside of the frame and the part where they connect attaches to the top of the axle

    The names are stupid ha. Standard "3 link" is a wishbone upper like MCM posted and lower links with the shocks mounted to them.

    It's at the same angle and length as a 4 link just has a single heim at the top of the axle. Very few high speed trucks run panhards

    There are pros and cons. Both work the same. I prefer 4 link because you don't have the side load on the upper heim. But I've never seen one fail so maybe I'm wrong ha

    Thats what a panhard bar is for. 4 link makes you move the stock tank. Unless your a bronco, or a jeep. No gracias to both.

    And I've seen 4 link uppers fail because it's ungusseted stand alone tube one each side

    There is no panhard in either. I'm speaking in go fast shocks off the links talk. The terminology may be different with rock crawler guys

    Yup. Landon has a panhard style link setup, I have a 4 link. His keeps damn near everything but the spare tire in place. Mine, not even close. Even my muffler is fucked lol.

    Curious. What are the pros of 4link over 3link? Like you said the 3link is gusseted... I mean aside from having two hems on the axle instead of just one, cause that would put more stress on the one. But other than that what are the advantages of 4 link?
