Long Travel BS Thread

Im at 1.9 on both sides and the truck tracks straight, just wanders the slightest at 50mph or above.

 

Indeed, It took me a bit to figure out what each is from either user group, lol

I need to crawl under my truck and check what joint it has, if it helps any it is a 2011 double cab 4wd. I did some quick searching online and from my understanding this would be 5.5-6 degrees down? Most information I see is for cars, so it doesn't convince me since our suspension moves much more and don't want to be having problems with the driveshaft slipping out or crushing the transmission down the road. I know Tim told me that I will need to get the shaft shortened but I didn't see any information for pinion angle.

 

No, that would 5.5-6 degrees UP from the horizontal.

You have to plate in both sides of each mount to no longer have a slotted hole there.

 

You have to have heimed uppers.

 

I got the lsk solid mount kit with Delrin bushings...well worth it and simple to insall.

 

I did too. Pain in the ass to put in the bushings but I love the kit.

 

Anybody know someone that can build a hiemed upper for a allpro lt kit?

 

Just go with the Total Chaos cam gussets.

 

I'm also wondering this... Seems like a huge PITA

 

Any reputable fabircator could build you a heimed upper based off the one you have.

OR if that's not an option, TC sells the heimed upper seperately for their 2"+ LT kit that should work, since as far as I know the geometry of both kits is relatively the same.

TC Gussets for sure. We have been doing a lot of them recently. THey help so much compared to the thin stock ears

Dirt bikes have had this for a long time, I had wondered why off road shocks dont have high/low speed compression adjusters. Interesting to see them
