ATO front skid (need more but icon's might fail if I hang anything else from my truck) All-Pro front bumper thanks to a good deal here and a pesky encounter with a rock or 20, total chaos uppers.
Just got the truck back from DMZ and took it out this weekend and have to say I'm loving the rear LT! Now the question is do I replace the front MT setup with LT or regear the front and back and possibly add a locker to replace the LSD sport rear end? Still running 33's so the gearing isn't terrible as it is but I'm sure a fresh set of gears would help on the low end.
    Thanks!

allpro long travel, shackle flip with ome dakars, cruisin offroad bumpers and sliders, 4.88 gears with arb's front and rear, budbuilt skids.
For 33's I wouldn't bother regearing, if your going to jump to 35's then regearing is pretty beneficial.

I agree about not regearing until you go to 35s

I'd say front LT! I have an MT front, DMZ rear, and 4.88 gears on 33's. I like the gears for rock crawling but they aren't nearly as useful in the high speed stuff as front LT would be!

Well you guys made that choice pretty easy! Probably won't be going to a 35 in the near future so guess I need to choose a kit for the front!

We have a friend who races a Toyota in 2000. Cliff rode it in for a lap at RATR last season.

There are a couple of pretty good Class 2000 ish trucks floating around out there at the moment. I personally think the popularity and growth of the class is going to make some people rethink the whole leafs/links thing over the next few years.

No offense to you Cliff, you did the right thing! Your truck looks rad!

But just saying, over the last few years linking trucks became the "cool" thing to do because everyone wants to 1450 day dream. But the more 2000 grows, the more people are going to think about keeping those trucks leaf sprung and coming out to race from time to time. My humble opinion, anyway.

Linking is far from the "cool thing" Its not some trend. It works is why people do it and they have been since i got into racing in 2003. You've only ran a few races. Give it a few seasons and you'll be linking it. That's my humble opinion

Not in 2000. If you want to race BITD 7100 you need the stock upper pivots. 2000, that can all go. It's all in the rules.

It's a play truck at that point cause there's no point in racing it anymore once you link it unless you've got the cash. I've got more then a few races under my belt and I live in reality where once you link it, you're paying to drive in a highspeed offroad parade cause reality is, nobody I know has the funding to build a competitive linked truck. I've got WAY more seat time in his truck then he does and I have ZERO urge to even suggest to him that we should link it and it's not even my money. His truck is honestly more fun as it is right now then should be legal AND it's competitive on top of that. So why link it again??? Coming from someone that's had a linked truck and is building another to play with...

Whoops, sorry, didn't mean to post on this forum! LOL :p
