to get a 4wd axel to pull over 13 inches of travel and not bind is alot of work....

Now who made that rule. I think its just a scam if an 8" fits but they are also selling 4.5" why wouldn't you go with 8" in the first place so you don't have to buy coilovers twice if you decide to go lt.

most people want to have a direct bolt on part with nothing to worry about. most will not want to have to add limit straps to protect uniballs, balljoints, CVs, etc.

Please read on and realize that the collapsed and extended lenghts are different. So you can wedge the wrong shock if you want but you will lose travel. They make 2 different kinds for a reason. One fits OE apllication. One fits LT. Some people dont like shoving whatever can fit into the hole and calling it a day

Now its not a scam, they are valved differently and run different springs, Plus is you run a 2.5x8" on a stock lower arm and uniball upper arm and not limit it with a strap your gonna mess up the L. Ball joint and possibly the upper, which your not supposed to do anyways.

^^^yeah the burg kit pulls 13 inches of travel:D

engage pulls 16 iirc, which is why its hard to get a axel to work.

the Engage kit will pull 16" in theory but until there is an axel in there it doesnt really count becuase its just 2wd LT kit. Camburg 2WD kit will pull 15 maybe a little more if you work it right and has better ground clearance and a narrower track width.

PROS: more up travel, cant be a true lt without it

cons: less clearance because the springs go under the axel.
    thats all i know

its called the internet, should I walk you through how to find it

vvv Direct from Camburgs WebSite vvvv
"This system will yield up to 15″ travel on a 2×4 and 14″ on a 4×4"

So I ask YOU now, where are you getting your numbers? I dont see 13" on there anywhere... nor do i see a functional 4x4 Engage kit thats pulling 16".... Have you ever seen a Camburg kit in person? Have you had the pleasure of watching it cycle? I doubt it.

The Camburg 2wd is 15in of travel. The 4x4 is 14. Im pretty sure both of those are strapped an inch to two inches as to not bottom out the shock. Yes the Camburg Kit has a narrower track width.

I like the width and the height of my truck. Took one trip to Barstow and one trip on the Lucerne Course to find out why.
