Is the lower arm bushings an issue with TC kits? The Uni-ball are much more expense to replace and the Camburg. TC does offer a heim upper.

I run fox, never had a problem contacting them, and they are very helpfull just don't send in your shock, it can take forever.

Ive seen a few people here with the bushings being cut by the LCA mounts. It may not be an issue with all, but trucks that need more tweaking with alignment would be affected more

The internals on a KING shock has the highest quality machined precision parts in a shock.
Ive raced on all brands of shock (King, Fox, Sway-away and Bilstein) To be honest, they all work the same with correct Spring rates and Valving. The difference is, I can tell after a race that the King parts internally tend to last the longest. They don't break down the fastest due to friction and hard use.
But when you get to a 3.0 size shock or above, They are all pretty damn good!!!! haha..... Plus the size and volume of 3.0's take a lot to wear out.

I don't know why everyone thinks Icon parts and rebuilds are so hard or mysterious. We rebuild them all of the time, they take about the same time as a King or Fox does, we stock the rebuild kits and the shims. Ya Icon does not make shocks for race trucks, but how many of you race? 3-5 of you? The rest still drive it to work and back. Funny thing is that on a lot of LT set-ups the Icons are capable of more travel due to their piston design, Even Total Chaos will tell you that. You would be shocked at the amount of travel loss on some set-ups when switching from Fox to king to Icon, and Camburg or TC kits.

As for Camburg vs TC Long travel. Until TC releases their Race lower's in the 3.5" over kit, Camburg's is a better bang for the buck with Uniball Lower arm pivots, Bump pads, and their axles are a bit cheaper.

Also If you go to any of the local Cali Short course races, Icon is out there with a both and provide help, they were just at the FJ summit as well. They don't go to the big Desert event's cause they don't make anything for that. As far as tuning goes, we were out in Barstow with them 3 weeks ago doing a test and tune. More will be coming soon. King is great with being out there at the Races helping, no doubt about that. I rced on kings for almost 6 years between a 1450 Toyota and a 5/16. And fox, well you better have a Trophy truck..LOL

Pick the color that matches your truck, they all work the same, like said above, we're not talking about TTs

Looks like a Sequoia axle to me. Tundra's only came with hard lines and drum brakes.

    Yeah...that's why I said it's a Sequoia axle, not a tundra axle.
I didn't say third member or housing.

Can you please explain how the design of the piston allows for more travel.

It's a shorter piston, not necessarily the design, I should have said size, that same piston in the same body length of say a fox or king will droop out more. Granted it may be only 1/4-1/2" in the shock, but at the pivots that's another 1-2" of travel.

I have talked TC and Icon about this. We have 2 Identical Tundra's in the shop. One running TC Long travel, the other Camburg. One running Fox's, the other Icon. We swapped shocks, cycled, and the travel #'s kinda blew us away a bit. Granted neither got the 16" claimed w/o trimming a bunch of fender and bump mounts, but only one set-up was close. Icon/Camburg and Icon/TC both had a good 2" travel gain over the Fox's. Mainly at Droop. The Camburg kit can bump further, but that's due to the Bugger Uniball and Low-pro hardware over the TC kit where the bolt head would contact the fender well sooner, fender removed then it's about the same. We have only tested this on the LT spec'd coilovers. Nothing Mid-travel.

    Few thangs...:spy:

    Interesting. Huh

Is that maybe due to the digressive valve design to allow a smaller piston?
