Anyone know what it will take to run 35s with long travel on a first gen?

Yeah…. Idk, I'm wanting to gain more travel with cutting as little as possible. This truck won't be hucked through the desert, just crawled some and driven down rougher roads with some speed. I may just go with 33s though

You could go mid travel and run 33's or 35's

Running 35's depends on the suspension a little. Most of your bolt on prerunner kits will struggle to clear 35's. With the kit we built we pushed the spindle forward 1". I know there's others out there that have done the same. we are clearing 35" short course tires with very minimal rubbing on the glass

    You are at a crossroads.

You want extra width but you don't want to cut/trim. Therefore I feel long travel is not for you because of the endless modifications to be made.

You won't be fully utilizing the 5-10grand that you are spending.

Personally, I'd go Mid Travel, get some icons front and rear, and a new set of leaf springs. Run 33s by 12.50 and be stoked on how awesome your truck will handle compared to where your at now.

Icon shocks blew me away when I rode in Joel's truck before he went long travel.

I don't mind trimming, but cutting away all the wheel well and completely rebuilding the fire wall is a little beyond my expertise. I really only wanna do this once and am afraid by going mid travel I'll just eventually want to upgrade to full lt. I'm more than ok with frequently modding, and fixing what needs to be fixed.
