Its the concept I was trying to get across. He sends you a quote on Company X's Letter head. You take said quote to DTC and they match said price. Then you go home with new tires and be happy. :)

Alright maybe the guru's here can help me figure out what the hell to do. The drivers side resi fitting sheared clean off on me this weekend before I even had a chance to womp on it.

You can see under compression where the fitting is coming in contact with the bolt and the top plate TC provide in their kit. That and you can see how bad the top of the shock is digging into the top plate when the misalignment spacers allow the coilover to rotate forward. I'm sent this over to DSM this morning and they said they would talk to King about it, but I was hoping someone else here might have some extra insight.

I'm using the factory bumps with the extensions that the TC provides in their kit:

Oh yeah...my solution to keep the crap out till I got home

    IMG_3499_2b96a2500d9cc88060727eda3d4482b9c33788b1.jpg

    EDIT:

Just for comparison, here's the passenger side. It's also rubbing and making contact. You can see how little clearance there is between the bolt and the fitting.

^Yeah damn mine has way more clearance with the Camburg top plate

EDIT: It also looks like that top plate is scratching the top of your coilover too

Flip it around 180*and drill a new bolt pattern in there. I had to notch mine, but you might not have to. While you have that shock depressurized you should pull the coil spring off of it and cycle your suspension to check for any other clearance issues too. Also I have a couple gallons of fox shock oil if you need some, and a nitrogen setup.

FYI you can cycle your suspension without discharging the shocks. That amount of charge wont hold all of the weight of your vehicle. Just install it without the spring and use a jack under the arm. It will lift the arm up without lifting your truck. I know his is discharged but he does not need to discharge the other side

Yeah that's a big difference. The top plate beat the shit and scratched the shit out of the top of the shock.

I contemplated this, but the top plates are not uniform front to back. If rotated them 180* it pushes the shock farther out and I'm not sure if it would matter or not.

Cool. I mean I really couldn't figure how it could have been something I screwed up, but stranger things have happened. Slightly annoying to have to deal with this shit after my truck has been out of commission for the last 2 months. I realize shit happens and things break, but I'd expect it to break because of me making a retard mistake or not reinforcing what should be reinforced. When I started this whole front LT my goal was to do everything right and do it right the first time.

I called both DSM (who supplied the Kings) and TC and emailed a bunch of pictures. I'll let them figure out what the hell is wrong and hopefully get my truck back up and running ASAP.

Belive me. I was sold on the burg kit...until I tried contacting their customer service....for 3 weeks before I got a damn reply. TC on the other hand actually picked up the phone. They had King on the phone within 15 minutes and they apparently already got the call from DSM about a few minutes before. :D

As my mom put it, caca occurs. And when it does, it's nice to have vendors that stand behind their products.

Personally thats Camburg's one major downfall. Trying to get a hold of them over the phone is very difficult, they do answer email much more promptly than expected for never answering the phone....it would seem to me the 2 would be close together, maybe

My 3 week number was how long it took for them to reply to the original email I sent. I sent the email and made my first call the same day. Then I called them almost every day for a week and a half and left probably 4 messages for a call back. End of second week someone finally answered the phone. A week after that the reply email came.

    That sealed it for me.
