Who all is running a 4 link? Thinking ahead and going to build slowly.....

The problem with a 4-link on our trucks is that gas tank location. It interferes with the links. The linked setups that I've seen on 2ng gens have primarily been 3-links.

If you're going to go through the effort to link a 2nd gen, do it right and go with a fuel cell, or move the tank, if youre worried about smog, to above the bed and sideways to clear the upper links.

I have glassworks front glass, I was thinking about going mcneil for the rear. Just trying to decide on trophy style or not

the consensus seems to be that leafs work fine on tacomas. unless supercharged and a "race" kit up front, then maybe link the rear, but its way more expensive, complicated to set up, etc etc

actually, links are easier to set up than leafs lol. shackle angle, leaf separation, forward pivot yada yada yada. when it comes to links, keep your pinion angle in check, and shocks close to 90 at droop = done. big $ and no bed are a turn off for most.

Out of all the cons listed, the whole no bed thing is the only turn off. Fuel cell doesn't bother me, chopping everything off and fabing, eh. No bed? Noooooooope

If done right you can keep so,e of the bed. But you'll loose at least 1/3 or 1/2 of it for sure. If you cage the truck at the same time I have seen some great setups with the coilovers and bypasses on the trailing arms right up behind the cab with a tall and narrow fuel cell between them.

    Or, order new misalignment spacers.

How much gap are we talking about here? It's hard to tell from your picture if that gap is a 1/16" or a 1/2".

The misalignment spacer is a good idea, as well as cutting a new gusset.

There's a few more details the pinion angle and shock angle...
Leafs can be cycled in a day no problem, links need a little more attention to detail

I could be wrong, but regardless of the gussets, the arms should still make contact with the coil bucket.. No?

I don't think it has anything to do with the gussets? its not making contact with the inside mount, the arm appears to be spread to wide.

I could be completely off, its hard to tell through a picture. Could all be the angle in which it was taken?

The coil gussets don't let the UCA to go in, thinking the easiest way to do is to grind the misalignments. Coil gusets were welded to tight on this side. the other side was a perfect fit.

take off the front gusset, allow uca to go in, then replace that gusset.
