We will most likely be camping by Gecko Rd. Well by the canal I think. Eric and a few others will be in the washes

Me and corey were hitting those. I think i was going about 45. He was hauling ass. The ones towards the end by the Olds turn off are ruff. They get longer and deep. I think corey hit 65.

Can't you pull a speed sensor off the transmission, or am I thinking of a completely different setup?

Rock Solid Toys has a kit to convert an auto to read speed from the Tcase... For your Prerunner I don't know though. Do the 6 spd Prerunners read from the wheel sensors or somewhere else?

I have understood that auto prerunners read speed from the wheel sensors

Can I just keep mine on the trailer for this run? I'll even use cruise control.

Yes. Auto's (both 2wd and 4wd) read from the wheel sensors. The manual 4wd's read from the Tcase. When Wyatt at Rock Solid Toys went to 1 ton axles he came up with a kit to read speed at the Tcase like the manuals do. The problem is, you don't have a Tcase...

If the manual Prerunners read from the trans then it may be possible to do a similar conversion. If they also read from the wheel sensors, I would look into a GPS dash or something custom like that.

Any body know the tooth count for the wheel sensors? Spyntec is willing to help with this but needs the tooth count to see if its possible.

There isn't one. It's not gear driven. It's just a magnetic sensor.
