What shackle are you running? How much weight are you carrying in the rear? What PSI are you running in your bumps?

That's for your tire pressure sensors. The grey hooks just turn the 90* and pull them out

Found another box under the dash that says computer tire pressure monitor, so the roof one should be something else?

Anything I should do while the dash is out?

Nope. On is the computer and one is the actual sensor. If you look at the box on the roof it tells you that too

I'm sure you can relocate it. But if you aren't using the sensors in your wheels anymore then it can go in the trash

I am currently shopping for a 9" so I've been reading up on track widths and I have been seeing a lot of different answers on both racecar/off road forums. It looks like as long as I am +/- 1" front to rear I will be good to go. On my last desert truck I noticed a noticeable improvement in handling when I went with the exact same width in the rear. Anyone wider in the rear that has an opinion? I guess the biggest problem I will have is the lack of 6-7" rear fenders for our trucks.

go an inch or two narrower in the rear than the front, as the front cycles it becomes narrower. your looking for the average width of the front out back, but measuring for that takes a while and it will never be perfect

My old 9" axle was 69" , 4.0" bs wheels running 35"s and at full bump they barely kissed the Glassworks fenders I was running. However they stuck out past the fenders a few inches. Wider glass would be a good idea.

I think I'm going to be about 2 inches narrower in the rear then I am in the front, giggity. do you plan on running bumps? If so, you need to locate those bumps as far out on the axle as possible, taking into account clearance issues at full articulation. You want the bump to bump as far out on the axle as possible to aid in less of a chance of finding the housing. I've seen where the narrow framed Ford Rangers are bumped inside the frames with an Econoline housing. That's recipe for a bent housing.
