Everytime I walk in my front door I open the hall closet just to look in at all the big boxes covered in camburg and King stickers.

Here's a very simple and straight breakdown of how things work. It may come off a little strong but oh well...

Because you ordered your kit from a dealer or distributor on Monday, it doesn't always mean i got the order on the same Monday. That dealer then has to place an order with us. It wont always happen on the same day. Especially when youre buying during holiday sales/seasons. shops closed for half a week for the holidays.

The problem is that for most customers, the clock starts ticking the minute they hang up the phone and thats never the case with a race kit or most kits that have special order items on them. These kits are built to order, means nothing is sitting on the shelf.

you were originally told 4-6 weeks when we spoke on the phone the 1st time before you even placed an order. After your order came in and we made your arms we told you 3-4 weeks for your kit, its been 2.5 weeks since then and you've made several attempts to get an update. you've been given accurate updates by myself personally.

the problem is you're not hearing what you want to hear and that's frustrating. i get it. you're excited for your kit and want to get the ball rolling on it. But if youre going to make posts about how things are going with your kit, lets try and make sure the whole story gets told so that there is no confusion.

I just talked to you this morning on getting parts out to you sooner and I'm waiting to get a confirmation. This kit was not even purchased direct through us yet we take our time to keep you informed. That's how shitty our customer service dept is lol.

I assure you that your kit is being worked on, along with the hundred other kits on order. but just like every other business, we have procedures and orders that are in front of yours and behind yours that also need to be completed in a timely manner. if you have any questions on status, specs or anything, i have no problem answering those questions for you as well.

Lastly, for the awesome fast food analogy. if you went to a restaurant who told you there was a 45 min wait for your party to be seated, would you then go back every 5 min and ask for the status on your table? or would you give it 45 min? lets compare apple to apples here.

    Merry Christmas guys!

The thing is I wasn't even talking about you guys. They are not the reason my truck is down. Camburg has nothing to do with my original post. I apologize if that is how it came off

I was just not specifically naming companies in general. Camburgs name seem to be taken out of context.

    No camburg bashing here!

And Carlos has been nothing but helpful. I again second that camburg has nothing to do with my original, "pent up" frustration.

And this is why I order stuff with the expectation of -'it'll get here when it gets here".

Now, if you paid extra for expedited work, then yea, expect it when it was supposed to be done. But when I order something off of Amazon and use my Prime free 2 day shipping, and it shows up on the third day, probably because a usps delay or possibly the company waited to long to get it out, I don't blow them or Amazon up, I shrug and go on with my life. I understand that's an over simplification and we're talking about thousands of dollars here, but I'd like to also bring up this, if they're busy, and get a little behind, CAMBURG- please don't rush my order, I'm perfectly happy waiting an extra few months or whatever to get the quality part or parts I ordered and went to your business for in the first place.

    Just sayin'.

I haven't checked this thread in four hours and my post was taken completely out of context. Shawn and I weren't even talking about camburg.

They were just the my last vent on a series of events. This truck has been such a bumpy road for me. I apologize for venting online, hence the reason I don't post often. I don't want to get into even start explaining, I'll just let the learning experience of this build continue. It should have been something i just spoke to Shawn about personally.

I will see you guys in a couple weeks.

I'm beyond stoked to get this thing finally done. The effort that I've put into this truck is something I would never put on even my worst enemies.

tony got it right, wasn't talking about camburg. you guys are an industry leader for a reason, you do a good job. sorry for the confusion.
not trying to put anyone on blast even. i just think in general, it is the businesses responsibility to do its best to meet the parameters of their original agreement, especially when a lot of money on the table. good stuff takes time of course, but no one likes feeling led on. i don't really care about the whole situation, just sucks to see tony still anxiously talking about hopefully driving his truck soon, a year later, and have other friends who's trucks have been in the shop longer than expected. just a weird way to run a business.

Getting online to defend your customer service when your not even getting bashed is a waste of your time. You should probably spend that time and energy on the 100's of kits that you have to build.

If I needed another reason not to ever order anything from Camburg. Merry Christmas!!

Holy shit this place is turning into Drama Rangers... He obviously wasn't venting about Camburg. Race kits are not off the shelf items. They don't sell very many because most people don't need them. They are built per order.
