I know the part you are talking about. I haven't seen that break but I have seen a stock on break right after the shock mounting point. I think a member here broke one. I think his username is straycat or something like that. he has a AP bumper and jumps his truck at Pismo.

That $1000 is going seem very cheap if the stock LCA ever breaks in the dirt man.
