For where you live...remove it, including the elbow, or fab up a new apron.
The tube acts as a funnel for water, snow, and shit scooped up by the tires (assuming aggressive tires). Had I removed the tube from the start...I'd probably still be on my first engine. :anonymous:

Tried the pantyhose too. Supercharger is hungry and sucked the pantyhose right into the intake box, even though it was zip tied and taped.

Ok thanks Jason. I'll do that.I don't want to buy a 450.00 snorkel just to try and keep snow, water and slush out.

Full disclosure, you're still gonna get shit in the box. Removing everything is what worked best for me. I ran a stock box for many years with variations of full tube, elbow only, no elbow or tube, deck plate mod, and combinations of each. Cleanest filter and box was with no elbow or tube and deck plate closed. With that I was replacing filters 2-3x a year depending on how wet and long winter lasted.

Ok. I have a K&N filter in the box now. I'll just stay on top of it and do more cleaning.

Had one of those for a while too. After destroying one MAF and seeing how much shit got past the filter and into the TB and intake manifold, I went back to factory paper filters.

Its got Deavers in the back.. I def need to upgrade i just didnt know if it was smart to go a 1 piece or not. I was recommended to do an Aluminum Driveline but if everyone running 2 piece drive lines dont have a problem when id rather just replace it.. Im not sure when it broke but i can only imagine going through the whoops so i need something to with stand that. If you were told not to then there has to be some reasoning behind it...
