Got bit by the V8 bug and picked up a 96 bronco for a good price. For some reason I decided one half built truck just wasn't enough. After hanging on a few bronco forums I really appreciate all the knowledge and helpful info Tacoma world offers. I'll post a few shots of the bronco once I get her cleaned up. Major plus on the bronco is I might actually be able to afford the solo kit for it!:)

I have a few buddy's with them and I hate the short wheel base on em.

I went from 5.29 to 4.90. Iloved the extra torque with the 5.29, but two diff's in 12,000 miles was costing to much. Both built by ecgs

LOL, I was kinda curious about the shorter wheel base but rode in a built one in mex a few weeks back and was hooked. Truck pulled 18 up front and was strapped at 17 in the back. All I will say was it did really well compared to a few other trucks I've driven/riden in. It's funny how everyone thinks their truck is the best. Those guys swore a built bronco was the best truck for the $$. Kinda like the idea of running 37s and not gernading the steering.
Was planning on using the bronco to tow the taco and my future boat but I know the short wheelbase is going to suck for that!

ya another buddy of mine, Kaleb has a full sized silverado now on 37s, fully built. and his truck eats through racks.

most guys think their truck is the best since thats the only one they have driven. i want more from mine so i know its not the best, but it works.

Couldn't agree more! Supposedly the extended beams on the Broncos don't kill the steering as bad as other trucks. All that being said its a 20 year old American truck! 100% sure it won't be as reliable as the taco. But it's all about getting out in the dirt or running down through Baja and enjoying the truck.

Poly Y-strap for spare tires. Trimmed up the length a little, still plenty of room to strap down a 35 or 37 in the bed with adjustment left over.

    Toyota.

That was one of the stock gear ratios for the early t100 automatics.

93-94 iirc when it had the 3.slow v6. They had a bunch of oddball sizes like 4.46 4.70, and 4.90

    I knew about 4.70. Didn't know about the 4.46 or 4.90.

Bet those are hard to find.

Also, just a random question. How important to you guys is is to get the actual cam tab gussets vs just laying a bead of weld on the tabs or putting some metal there and welding in on the stock tabs?
