No problem man. I figured it would save you some money. Single stage paint then paint all of your glass at once. Maybe cost $75 in paint. I bet you'd be under $200 with the spray guns. you'd spend that much on rattle cans and it would take way longer lol

Paint is cheap. Its the clear that is expensive. Same with painting them. I had a buddy of mine that works at a paint shop bring over his stuff when I painted mine. I have never painted in my life and I shot the color part, pretty easy. For the clear I let him do it cause its harder to make sure you have good even coverage. I got all mine done for the cost of a Filibertos lunch :D

Thats why you use Single Stage paint. You don't have to use two stage unless you have a lot metallic in the paint or looking for a super deep shine to the paint. Then you have tri-coat which uses a tinted clear before the final clear clear-coats. but you use that if you are doing candies or pearls in the paint.

But you are right about the whole clear is more business. When i do garage floors the ploy I use is normally $200 per 1.5 gal bucket.

Jealous. I'll buy him a steak dinner if he wants to paint my whole truck hahah

I usually use Acrylic Enamel paint for most things (probably what Alex is referring to as 1 Stage paint). That and some heavy duty epoxy/self etching primer (more resistant to scratches/scrapes) and you'll be all set. I've painted everything from 1/2-Tons to Mack Front end garbage trucks like this and the results are always good.

EDIT: Be sure to use Lacquer Thinner to wipe down the fiberglass, not paint cleaner (which is basically versol) this will clean out sanding much better and will let the primer adhere to the glass better.

For those of you contemplating King coilovers with a TC kit on a 1st gen, make sure King builds the shocks with the low profile fittings so you don't run into the same shit I did.

    My letter to King:
