"practical" went out the window a long time ago. Thank God for all those hybrids, I'm going to need their gas.

Ok been trying to hold out for the dtf 4x4 kit and want something with a fabed spindle. Besides solo (using them for my bronco build) who has a 4x4 kit with a spindle for a 05? Emails and called trac but haven't heard anything yet. Who else has a kit that is somewhat proven? Even though the bronco is getting the majority of the love these days don't want a TC kit or camburg with a gussets spindle.
    Thanks

Solo...pretty much your only option unless you wanna build your own spindle.:anonymous:

I personally am yet to have an issue with my Camburg Kit and SDHQ gussetted spindle, I have never lost a CV either and I tore both limit straps at Gordon's over Easter and didn't notice till I got home.

Dirt designs has fabbed spindle but uses stock cv's. I finally got ahold from someone at dtf and theirs will use stock cv's also, which is why I chose solo

LSK was pretty pricy if I remember correctly, thought the cost was close to Solo. If it's closer to the other kits I'd consider it. I remember they did a few trucks in here and they looked good. I'd go solo but I'm already going to be in $10k for the other project and the front alone installed from them was $10k +. That said having seen their kit I'd say it's one of the best available. Just gave up on the idea of ever caging the taco so as much as I hate to admit it it would be overkill for my needs.

You not going to get a kit with a fabbed upright for under 4000

    Lsk's kit is 4200ish

Truth. Or find a used 3.5" over LT kit and pay the $1500+ for the fabbed upright. Either way, your paying close to if not over $4k anyway.

If your not gonna run a cage then just get an off the self kit and gusset the stock spindle.

Yeah Lsk was over $6k plus instillation if I remember. Their kit does look good though! Talked with someone at camburg about spindle gussets and they didn't recommend it( this was a while ago) so if I'm going to do it might as well do it right. I'd hate to bend a spindle down in mex. breaking a stick cv I'd still be able to get home but having seen a spindle bend it would be a long trip home if that happened. And back to the $4k comment I was not expecting a fabed race style kit to be anything less than $5k if I was lucky without shocks. If I could find something in the 6.5k range out the door I'd be in. But you have to pay to play I guess.

If you think you don't need a cage then you probably don't need fabbed spindles
