Truth! I dont even have a shakedown trip with my new spring under and I want a cage. I've been using a makeshift cage I made of 2x4s for the time being

The bronco I'm building will be caged front to back. Want the Tacoma for trips down to scorpion bay and through baja. The MT up front bottoms out and is the week spot for sure. If I was building it to run through Barstow main at 60 MPH I'd totally agree. Sure a cage in the taco would be cool but im not planning on driving like a few guys on here do I've seen at the races.

Both are paid for and even if I sold both I couldn't even come close to building the raptor I really want even factoring in the mods on both. That and I have a daily driver as does the wife so don't need either to get to work.

Honestly the reliability of the Tacoma for Mexico trips and I can still use it to run to lowes and pick up a sheet of plywood or other crap for the house. Really like having a pick up and the New F-150 is way over priced and just don't love the tundra.
The bronco was cheep and I like the fact that if I want to I can build the motor up over 400hp fairly cheap if I redo the reared. Also having riden in a friends built bronco they are just fun trucks and can be built much cheaper then the Tacoma. But that said even if I went through the entire bronco I still would think the taco with 80k miles is still more reliable.

Got more good info from a few shops last night. It's nice having options! Going to try and catch up with LSK and see what the final out the door price is from them. Got a very informative email from them last night and wanted to mention their excellent customer service regarding my questions that have probably already been answered in threads before. Sounds like the trac kit is still in the design phase but should be available soon.
    It's good to have options!

Personally, I'm a fan of the 2 truck plan, better yet, add a 3rd to the program that's not even yours! LOL Although I've said it before, if my driveway was empty and I was starting from a blank slate, something Ultra 4ish would be neat I can imagine!

My only thought is I still feel he's doing it backwards, build the tacoma for all out going fast and the bronco as the all around do anything pretty good ride.

That's probably cause I have my 4wd exploder built as my all around do anything pretty good ride and then I race a tacoma. Although, I've also got an F150 that once dialed (this summer hopefully) will be a monster compared to everything else in the collection. LOL

    You may be right....

I need a 3rd truck!! I always come back here because you guys never steer me in the wrong direction! Even better is the idea of someone else financing it!
Thanks for the info and thoughts.
