    do you mean 930 boot?

I always Used clamps on mine, but they are crazy tight around the tundra shaft so maybe they were meant to not have a clamp?
    i would use one anyways..

I never put a clamp on mine. Was told not to so boot could slide as it articulated....

That is good to know. They are crazy tight around the shafts, so that makes sense. I always just clamped it anyways.

I always see rails that dont have clamps on the inner part of their CV boots and their boots just slide, i don't get it.... wouldn't that let sand in there and wear out the CV quicker?

Only reason I ask is cause I used clamps and noticed yesterday that where the clamp is the rubber is slightly tearing around the clamp

My first set of boots lasted over a year before started leak in the upper fins, when I pulled them apart to redo the boots the grease was clean and as perty as when I did them.

you could drop some big coin on a fabricated housing or you could scoop yourself up a stock housing , throw a truss on it and call it good.

So i know we have talked about this a few times about the steering rack sliders.

Would adding just a stabilizer shock help in the same way??

How would you add a steering stabilizer on IFS?

    Yes
It is not difficult to do, there are mounts that clamp on to you tie rod ends or you can even buy tie rod ends with a mount on them. I believe Moog makes them in their " problem solver " line. The only full kit available is from Fabtech but the stabilizers run through the same hole as the tie rods and the fit is too tight and it will rub holes in your inner boots. The aftermarket tie rod ends and fab up your own mounts to go out in front of the steering rack cross member is the easiest way. Use steering stabilizers with heim ends to give yourself no range of motion worries.

Would that set up use a shock on each side or one shock in the middle?

Trying to picture how you do that without running into travel / steering interference.

One shock in the middle. Like it parallels the rack. it goes on the inner tie rods. Wouldn't be in the way of anything suspension wise.

With IFS you have to run one on each side, one in the middle only works with a solid axle set up.

It does not interfere with the suspension when mounted parallel to the tie rods. I a, speaking to a 2nd gen though and it looks like you have a first gen.
