Depends on the brand and type of tire I guess. I had less then 1/4'' clearance between my tire and the gusset with 315's and 4'' back spacing

Hahaha yeah! Very stock! This project is long over due. That's why I'm glad the wife is letting me do it this year. I have to play nice because she's the one paying the bill. :D

Haha. I played the card with my gf and asked if she was wanted to donate to race truck fund. And surprisingly she said sure. I think she's gonna get me some new ballasts for the hids.

So, building an engine cage right now. What are the two little yellow boxes that were mounted on the inner fender? Airbag sensors? If so, whats the best thing to do? Cut them off? Mount them somewhere?

Anyone running dual batteries under the bed? Have seen a few Broncos and F-150s with duels mounted under the bed and would like to see if I can do something similar with the taco. Would rather not have them in the bed for Mexico trips. Another option would be behind the back seats but just checking out different options

Still have the spare or the stock X cross support under the bed? If not there should be plenty of room for two batteries under. Could even make a compartment with a cut out of the stock bed as the lid to get in to the battery/oil/fluid storage tray.

Haven't cut out the X bar yet. DMZ plated around it since I wasn't sure how I was going to set up the spare. Kinda thinking about cutting the bed and dropping the spare in and covering it with something so I still have full bed access since my bed cage is tucked pretty tight. I really wish someone had a tire gate style setup that worked with glass. That would allow for both batteries to be under the bed and have some storage for oil or recovery gear.
Going to have to search around and see if I can find something and talk to a fab shop.

Whats your question? I have 2 mounted either side of the frame but i dont really have a "bed", just paneled but mine are 100% exposed under the paneling.

Think he is implying under the composite bed. With the stock tank in and the cross brace it really leaves limited room. I have one under the bed on the passenger side, jus a little exhaust massaging to make it fit. But I couldn't fit two in my current setup, with the 35 series battery. Maybe 2 smaller batteries.

So is it safe to just snip the wires leading to the sensors?
