finished the rear of the truck, got towers from ruff stuff and notched out the ends to put an angle on it to weld it to the frame, then just flat taps to mount the shock, then some scrap metal with RR tabs on the back, 2.5x12" kings, j59s, tundra axle, thought it came out pretty sweet. your guys thoughts?

    Your truck looks great.
those bad boys are likely going to rub your tires.
    are you SUA?
on my truck with SUA with shocks inside the frame, at full flex (4x4, so im talking actually fully tucked on one side and drooped on the other) my tires rub the frame. if there was a shock there, it would happen way way sooner haha.
most 2wd trucks probably wont have their truck in a situation of side to side articulation compaired to up and down. but my .02

edit:  it looks like your spring over axle after i look at your picture.

i wanted to outboard the shocks so i got the tundra rear end to give me room and also match the front stance (extra cool points) if it rubs im not worried. im gonna build an 90's tacoma for full long travel.

If you are to use a Tundra rear end on a 4x4 tacoma (2nd gen), do you have to change the gears so that the front and rear ratio is same? Aren't tacoma and tundra ratios different?

bolt on minus welding new perches, and no bumps yet, im probably just gonna do those rubber ones. this is pretty much it for this truck, gonna find an older one that decently built and do a full build on that, this is my daily

Yes ratio's have to be the same between front and rear (or within 5% for dirt driving).
1st gen tundra axle is pointless (IMO) on a second gen. It's only 1" wider. Just get a 9" and call it a day.
