Those are beautiful. Let me know if you want me to deliver them Juan. Actually, I bet @cmack could take them back when he picks up his spare tire.

I need some advice from you guys, so I get my tires from discount/american tire and with that comes free balancing, rotation, and flat repair. Some background: back in January I was about to drive 1,500 miles so I dropped the truck off to have everything rebalanced and rotated with my new wheels. The tech told me two of the studs were stripped, I gave him the benefit of the doubt and said thats fine. So today I went in to get a flat patched up and the tech (at an entirely different location) comes out to tell me that the stud and lug nut were stripped when he was removing the wheel. So now im running 4 lug on that wheel.

I basically talked to someone who worked there and he said "go to napa and buy the studs they're $2 a piece" and then gave me the name of a shop that would take care of it. Fine, I got him to finally give me three lug nuts too since they are stripping those too except they are chrome and dont match the black lugs im running. Am I in the wrong for thinking they should be making this right?

I think so too, im not one to make a big deal about little shit like that, but I feel like its bs for me to take time out of my day and spend money fixing something I didnt break. Pretty dumb to lose a customer over something small like this, never had problems with discount/american before this.

Ok guys, ordering all my stuff :goingcrazy: Just one last final vote on spring rates. I'm kinda scared about a 16" 700 lb coil being too stiff. I'm running about 200 lbs up front with my plate bumper and winch, along with full skid plates (Front skid is 1/4") Think 16" 700 will be good to go? What's really the downfall to 16" 650 lb coil? All I want is to be able to flex all the way to the bumpstop. With my current setup I can kind of do that. I'm running a 620 lb coil with bilsteins set at .85. I know preload is a bad thing so I'm hoping that the 700 lb coils should hold a decent lift height without cranking the coilover. People seem to like 700s...

EDIT: 16" springs aren't even available in 650 lb. Nevermind just reread a few more build threads. I'm sure I'll be happy with a 16" 700 lb coil. Just freaking out because its a huge purchase haha

@AaronArf is running 16/700 I believe and he had no problems flexing in Moab.

I've had DT strip a stud and toast a lug nut before too, the rookies tend to get slap happy with the power tools... my local DT has a shop that repairs that kind of thing for them, they took full responsibility, called the shop, made the appt for me and the shop billed Discount Tire directly.

And that's how it should be. Shit if they damage ANYTHING on my truck I'm getting pissed.

Last time I was at America's tires I'd accidentally left my PA on and sitting in the waiting room and I hear my sirens and sounds going off from the tire bay. I laughed, but inwardly I was already preparing my checklist for what to check on the truck for damage

lots of people run 700s on stock length arms, not so much when you get into a LT setup.

PAC makes a 16x650 for those looking with a shorter block (coil bind) height than an Eibach 16x600
