Rzr's are like fat chicks, their fun until your buddy's see you riding one. Plus I like having ac, xm radio, and I stay a lot cleaner than my buds with rzr's

    LOL.

different strokes for different folks i guess, when your broke all the time in your truck in the middle of the dunes and your sitting there working your ass off just to get out of the dunes, and all your buddies are ripping around you in rzrs, doing 65 through 3 foot deep woops, you might think differently....

but like said.... AC sure is nice, windows and doors are great, but thats about it.
well and i guess if people see a truck mashing woops at 70 their jaw/panties drop, if they see a rzr doing it they just go "meh" HAHA!

I like owning the truck to take out on night runs and stuff, especially when its cold, but the SR1 rhino tops it in every way, besides windows, ac, and doors. LOL

You gotta account for everything with a rzr for a fair comparison price wise, first 25k for 1000 4 seater, do you have a truck? How about a trailer? 4 seater rzr's are 16' long so you'll need a car hauler. Then if your like me you would still want to mod the shit outa one which is not cheap. And we have broken down in rzr's plenty of times too, broken axles bent trailing arms broke belt. When I wanna go 15 miles down the road I get in my truck and go and my buddy's ride with me cause they don't wanna load up their trailers to go 15 minutes of hwy

well..... i bought a SR1 Rhino completely done for 12k...... i would never spend the 25k on a new rxr 1000, that is insane IMO... but people do it all the time..

and yes i already had a tow rig, and a flat bed trailer, because i needed one for my prerunner to take it anywhere. like tubbisisland said above, there comes a certain point where keeping your prerunner a DD just is not feasable. i didnt want to pay a tow truck every time i broke down....

yes rzrs break too, but bend some A-arms, break some cv axles, and be in a couple hundred bucks...

break 1 rear diff in your truck and your out a grand.

once you get your truck to a certain point, you will need a tow rig and trailer for that too ( most likely)

    4 seater SR1 rhino.... 16k

    http://www.race-dezert.com/classifieds/index.php?ct=utvrace&md=details&id=94787
    2 seater for 12k...

the only bad part is no 4wd.... but with that power, depending on where you want to go, you will have no issues.
i bought mine more for a dune rig.....

but if you need 4wd, you dont need to spend 25k on a nice new 1000 rzr...

either way. trucks are bad ass, hands down. i love them and always will... just the cost associated with building them is too much for me...

just found this 4 seater rzr for 13k. i know its not full blown long travel but this could still mash!

thats what i am convincing some of my friends to do, not a bug, but a cheap baja VW rail for a couple grand and beat the piss out of it!

most of my friends only have a couple grand they could dump into a toy.

thats honestly possible, My pops owns a motorcycle shop so we get everything way cheap.

and honestly, CVs dont go out in rzrs often, they go out in rhinos all the time because they are locked front and rear. rzrs are open diff in the front, so it saves alot more cvs.

belts on the other hand.... if you have a rzr, you better have a couple spares!! LOL

Oh gosh, were talking about how much money weve spent on our trucks?!:annoyed:

I would love an sr1 rhino those things look badass, looking back I would have stayed midtravel or stock and had a buggy/rzr/rhino to beat on. I thought they were too expensive at the time but going long travel clearly wasnt the cheap route :D

Anyone with 285/75-16 or 295/75-16's considering a jump to 315/75-16's? I'm thinking about going back down to 33's and may be interested in trading. I'm down in San Diego. My MTR's have been on for less than a year and about 9,000 to 11,000 miles....99% on road. I have 5 total (spare has 0 miles) and have certs through Discount Tire Direct. I would like an AT tire with good tread left and want 5 matching. Send me a PM to see if we can work something out.

Front 2 are 13/32nds, Rear 2 are 15/32nds and the new spare is 18/32nds.

Would also consider trading the whole setup of SCS SR8's and tires if the have 17" wheels. I'm just a little picky on style.

Looking good Ehren, digging the front end swap. We should knock out some bumpers when you head down. Seymour has cad files for front bumper mounting plates. He just cut me a few sets.

Not exactly, a rhino has a completely locking and unlocking front diff. the rzr has-- which i honestly wasnt aware of until i googled.

    http://forum.highlifter.com/RZR-FRONT-DIFF-UPGRADE-m2441177.aspx

This!! everyone has their different way of doing it, but getting out and having fun is all that matters. you could be romping around a beat up civic for all i care. LOL

What's the easiest way to get fiberglass 6' box 4" flair boxsides. Flat top would be perfered. I've called fiberwerk, glassworks and mcniel, can't get a hold of any of them over past couple days. My local shop can get Mcniels but 3-4+ week lead time, I would like them in next couple weeks. Any shops keep stock of them?
