He is a good dude. I bought his old Tundra axle from him, had some concerns and we got it all straightened out. His build thread on DR has a lot of good tech for 1st Gen Tacomas as well "4 linked Taquito build"

Glad it all worked out. I didn't recognize the user name but I have met him. Seemed like a good guy. Hopefully it was just a misunderstanding.

So I am cycling my front right now. I have about 1/8" of shaft showing at bump. But that is just compressed with a jack not an impact compression. Everything is new. Nothing is broken. Should I lower my bumps a little more?

You should be fine since it looks like you've got a rubber spacer in there sitting on your rod end, so really you have like half inch or so. Depends on your bump too, is it pretty hard like a stock bump? My superbumps would compress that far...

I do have a rubber stopper there on the end of the shaft. If I lift the jack any more it lifts the truck off the Jack stands and compresses a little more not much. No motor or tranny in the truck. The bumps are Daystar that I got off poly performance.

    ...too much shit to list.
Where is the spring bottom plate? You need to cycle with the bottom plate in because it consumes like 1/2" of shaft.

On the table. :p shit! Ok when I get home I'll throw it on. Good thing I'm double checking with you guys. I had the spring removed at a buddy's house. I honestly didn't know it had to be on.

I don't believe it does on those shocks. It's held in by clips and sits flush. Now a king is a different story

Anyone know what size bump stops for a 2nd gen with tc 3.5 kit? I need to get new ones up front...

also Im replacing some worn out 285/75/16 all terrains and some 285/70/17 all terrains. Should I let the shop have them or could any of you guys use a spare or two? Like I said they're pretty worn but they could be used as spares

Finialy got home to check the bottom plate. DMCtacoma is right. It's just two silver clips held together with an Oring that fastens the bottom plate to the lower bump on the shaft in the the pic I posted earlier. The bottom plate doesn't touch that shaft at all.

Edit: Another thing. I'm planing on using the TC limit straps that came with the kit. How much should I expect them to stretch? 1/4",1/2" or so?
