JD fab now offers a 1st gen 6 lug tacoma LT kit... they have had a 5 lug kit for a while now and it's a great product.

cost of the 6 lug kit is around $1950 without shocks

Yeah same here. I never realized how much work and money goes into the conversion clips lol even with getting most of the stuff for "cheap" , free and trade I'll still be about $400 deep on it before paint. So add $60 for paint.

yeah that sucks... but a painted clip for less than $500 is still pretty good

and it's gonna totally change the look of the truck... no clearance issues with your current bumper?

The bumpers wings will be chopped because I doesn't fit with them. So I'll rock a stubby top bar until I have money to redo the bumper unless I can get a friend to build the bar for free

haha if i have the funds. Or do a trade. But not planning shit that far out. lol Just had a date tonight that went well so idk how funds for Tiffany (my truck) will be

Yeah, It depends on if you are cutting out all of the sheet metal and the core support up front when you do the engine cage or do a nice simple on over the engine. Mine is more work because its a conversion clip. but you will most likely need a sub frame for it still. Also remember its like $150 in just latches and hood pins too and it is going to take lots of sanding to get it to fit right. Just the nature of them
